I left this question open to the guys here too in case they happen to notice this with girlfriends lmao.
Ladies, have you ever noticed that your amount of interest in any current hobbies changes through your cycle? I never really tracked my monthly stuff until i was on birth control (i got off the pill a year ago) and paying way more attention to how i feel throughout it. I began to realize how much i dread my luteal phase coming because my mood easily gets lowered and i have ZERO want to do music practice. During my first half of the month i wanna learn guitar and practice like crazy but then the second half hits and its like i can't get myself to do it. And even if i try, its like i can't focus enough. It really affects the learning process and fuckin bums me out smh.
I barely hear of that happening to othet women with hobbies but i just wanna validate that its a norm or that im just crazy lmao.

Oh absolutely lol.. I notice it more with my energy, motivation, and ability to focus in general.
There are times when I feel so creative and motivated to do everything…especially dancing, writing, or even baking. Then other times, particularly before my period…. I lose interest in things I normally enjoy and just want to be left alone. It’s frustrating because mentally I still want to do those things, but I just can’t seem to find the motivation. You’re definitely not alone in that.
Pretty much with every girl I've been with long term, they turn into much more of a homebody during the bleeds. It's like someone switched that "social butterfly" switch right off. For some it also switches off their "give-a-fuck" switch... like they'll drink more, participate in escapism (like redunant movies instead of activities).
I've seen a few and I can say they all vary.
Make no mistake, a potential life inside of you is on it's last dying efforts for life, that will never live. That is a downer.
I don't know how to manage it, never experienced it, only seen that play out over and over.
Maybe it be easier to be an ant and just crank out eggs and see a slew of kids show up?
I would suspect, such emotions would be strong inspiration for music...
I do not know my cycle. But my mood changes based on my carbohydrate intake and my food. My mood tends to dip when I am in the process of losing weight, because the metabolic cost of weight loss, stresses out my body. I know there are video games and books and people, but I do not view these things as healers, I view them as masking tape that distracts you, not antidotes that solve your problem. I try to meditate when I am unhappy. Maybe sit near a plant and stare at it for comfort.
That sounds normal I would suspect, it affects dopamine and dopamine is a driving force to do something that feels rewarding. If lowered then the rewarding sense gets smaller thus creating a lack of desire to do it.
It might not be period related. My hobbies shift dramatically with the seasons I've noticed. Humans used to do various things around certain times of the year and those instincts will certainly have a passive impact on our psychology even now.
I could deep dive into observing facts to further present how much I think it has an impact in theory (a lot).
Also avoid birth control it messes with your hormones.
lol interesting ill pay closer attention with my next relationship
Yes very much! Everything changes!
No, not at all.
They dont
