I started dating a girl several months ago, knowing I would leave town within the year. Because I will be gone and may never move back to my hometown, we mutually decided that we will end it when I leave anyway.

Recently, I have begun to notice that she has become lazy in the relationship. While I cook, clean, buy groceries, etc., she comes over each night to eat, drink and have sex.

What keeps me from ending it just yet is that while the sex is just ok, I love having her over to watch movies and study together. In addition, she doesn't have a good living arrangement and I worry that without me, she will have issues making ends meet while attending college.

While I am about ready to end it and am set to leave town in a couple months anyway, but was wondering if I should just end it now or wait it out.

I have known this person and been friends for 2 years. He has been upset with me when he sees enough missed calls or texts from me over the days/week and asked for an extended break. After about a week, I texted him and told him that I forgive him (for the angry words said to me that hurt) and that I hope he feels better. He replied, “thank you! Hope you’re doing good!” I called him after I read the text to catch up with him. We had a good talk and catch up with each other.

After I offered a hangout, He has told me that we are still independent and that things hasn’t really change. I was not sure of what that means, he then told me that relationships are complicated to him now and that there’s so much going on, that he don’t can't contact me or hangout.

I understand he is busy as we are both University students and he also plays sports for the school, as I’m taking 13 CH/4classes this semester. For understanding purpose, I asked him if it’s because he has school and baseball that he doesn’t have time to talk/hangout, he confirmed it.

I think we were glad to talk on the phone after a week of space where I reflect on how I can be a better friend as I am taking a different approach to this friendship. He told me that we are friends and I’m good, I said I’m glad we are friends, he didn’t reply. Before ending the call, he said “take care” as he had said before few times after hangouts, I said back to him and we ended the phone call then. I texted him after the phone call: thank you for talking with me, we will hangout or talk when you have time. He liked the message.

I personally think he’s really busy with his school and sports. It’s not my wish to break the 2 year friendship. I think it’s best for me to keep in touch with him on a regular basis, but no more cal/text when he doesn’t have time to respond/pick up. However, I’m not sure if this means he wants me to leave or not.
