So my boyfriend has been my best friend for 5 years. In high school we dated for about 2 years. Then we broke up for 2 years. Now we've been dating for almost a year again. Best friends through it all, and friends with benefits for a while.

But I just found out I'm high school he cheated on me for a few months before breaking up with me. And he then basically dated the girl for that summer when we were broken up. They were just talking, hanging out, and kissing on the cheek. This girl became my friend once we broke up and was like the main one I leaned on and who supported me through the break up, me never knowing. I suspected he was with another girl but he would never tell me who. After all this time I just found out this month, and we talked through it and everything. I can forgive them, but I don't know if I can get over it and forget it. It sucks bc this relationship we've had now has been amazing, much better than when we were young and dumb, we've been really happy and healthy. I don't want to give that up for something that happened a long time ago, but I can't trust him now (i already have trust issues from childhood trauma!) And i don't want to be that toxic girlfriend who always goes through his phone, i hate that. But that's how I found out, because I suspected it still and it still hurt not knowing and he let me go through his phone so I found out. But since he lied to me for so long it just makes me sick to think it barely affects him now and he never would've told me. Also back then, they broke it off bc he never stopped loving me and realized he never liked her like that he'd just think of me, and he broke his heart talking to other guys. So I don't know. What would you do in my situation?

So, my best friend, let's call him Alex for now. I came over about 3 months ago to hang out after I was done my 2 weeks after coming back from my time. Alex explained to me that when we went to the beach together last year that Sam and he were flirting at the time, I was distracted, but he said I had told him that Sam had a boyfriend and not to get himself in trouble.

Long story short, apparently, when I went to get something from my car while Alex was in the water, Sam felt him and grabbed his Cough. He claims he was sure it happened and that he couldn't be making this up. He only brought it up to me recently becuase he was shy about it. Sam never said anything or acted like anything was up that day.

He recently said he wanted to watch me and another girl have lesbian sex for Christmas, and I told him that made me uncomfortable and that I had a boyfriend... who he's met several. He's also joked about taking my virginity when I was a little younger.

I personally, I always think you should believe the victim, and I know male sexual assault gets ignored, and it's a big problem. He's my friend, and I care a lot about him. I've noticed since that day she's been more or less very cold towards him, even when he's the one being friendly. So, I have no idea what to do.

The reason I ask for opinions is because I don’t believe he could ever like me. He is a beautiful 39 year old successful Italian man and I’m just me.

He owns a cafe and I’ve been a regular customer since it opened. We have a very flirty relationship and he does make sexual jokes and comments. He tends to go hot and cold also. He has gotten jealous in the past and he often asks if I have a boyfriend.

Yesterday I saw him and he was saying the man who marries me will be a lucky b*stard. He gave me a hug, pulling me tight against him. He also pulled my head into his shoulder/chest area. He then let me go because he remembered we shouldn’t be touching because of COVID.

Today he showed me some video on his phone. It was just a long video of the water he was swimming in. He was stood so close to me that our arms were touching.

He was telling his colleague not to look at my bum. I said “well I do have a nice bum”. He had a look and said “it’s ok, I’ve seen nicer bums” I think he was joking. He sometimes admits that he’s teasing me.

He then said “I could tell you that you’re the most beautiful girl in the world but you wouldn’t believe me because there is no most beautiful, there’s always someone better” and then said there are people better than him and better than me.

Is there any chance that he could be attracted to me?
