You see so many preferences here, and girls/guys seem quite concrete in them.
yet in real life, people seem much more flexible.
For example I was on holiday and I saw many beautiful women that could find an attractive man yet they were next to some short averagely looking guy.
I think people are much more flexible in real life as opposed to when you ask them on the internet.

As a guy in the online dating scene, I've found that you tend to cut through some of that introductory period where you're still trying to figure out if the other person is interested in you. A big part of that phase is figuring out if the other person can really match you in your sexual n. v preferences. Now, I don't like talking about sex with people I'm not having sex with. I just don't find it a very appropriate conversation, but I read online that women want guys who know what they want and can communicate it.

All of this got me wondering if there is really a certain timeframe that a guy should bring up sex in a situation like that. I would hate for a woman to think I wasn't interested, simply because I didn't talk with her about sex on the first date or whatever.

I'm trying to figure out which one is more important for your attraction towards a guy.

Ex. "Hey my name is____, and I noticed you here, and I think you are really pretty. I was just wondering if you wanted to grab a drink sometime."

I know that confidence and genuineness are very important to most girls, but I am just curious of your instinct/preference. Do you think "Wow. He's confident" or "Wow. That was really genuine."
