Search Results: always end up in the friend-zone

The question can be answered by the title alone but I'm going to include some info for my situation.

Gonna skip to right when I first hang out with her. We hang out and talk for about 2 hours after class and personally I didn't want it to end but it did and we agreed to hang out. After a couple cancelled hang out dates she rescheduled for a time that would work best for her. We chill and end up getting a smoothie and I feel like she enjoys all my jokes. We hang out again and this time we go to a cool spot and chill there for a while. I drop her off after and when I tell her I like hanging out with her she says "I appreciate that" or something along those lines.

My question to y'all is that I can't tell if I'm in the friendzone or if I'm in pursuit for her heart. I'd love nothing more than to have her but she hasn't done anything too obvious for me to know if she likes me and she hasn't done anything too obvious for me to know if I'm friendzoned or not. Would I be able to tell if I'm in the friendzone or is it not always that obvious?

Extra info: She mentions sometimes that she only has 1 friend. If I was in the friendzone wouldn't she say something along the lines of "now I have 2 friends" or something similar. She also obviously wants to hang out with me. You just don't have a 2 hour conversation with someone and then hang out with them twice after if you're not sorta interested in them, right?

Again to repeat the question. Is it always obvious to tell if you're in the friendzone or not.
