Earlier this evening, President Trump said he would mobilize “thousands and thousands" of soldiers to keep the peace if governors did not use the National Guard to passify protests.

Under Posse Comitatus Act (from civil war era) Federal Troops are prohibited from performing domestic law enforcement actions... However in severe cases, the President can invoke the Insurrection Act ( also from civil war). The insurrection Act permits use of National Guard troops for law enforcement.

Currently, 40 cities are reported to be under curfew. D C curfew is set to 7 pm.

I am watching now as a sizable number of DC citizens have come out to the streets on foot, peaceably Walking slowly together, wearing surgical masks, carrying signs, carrying water, shouting in unison. The crowd is heavily mixed in ethnicity. You can hear military helicopter over head not as loud as the chanting :

No sign of unrest. The Police have corralled the protesters in. They are now making arrests.. Protesters continue coming from different directions throughout the city. Officials say “D C military troops are NOT armed with NON lethal weapons.“

Hours later, Protestors -still walking, still chanting, still peaceably- have now merged midst police- in -waiting. Walking continues. Helicopter sound is now drowning out all the chanting. Police cars have edged protestors off the street to side walk—without contact. Military Helicopter hovers. Police Sirens are loud.

When it comes to creativity, development, economy, food, globalization, inventions, liberty, media, military and productivity, the United States ranks high in these categories. The United States is the reason why we're liberated and most of what we see, what we use and even multinational products come from the US.

Some inventions of the US are what we use daily such as cellphones and the internet made by Martin Cooper and Tim Berners Lee respectively, and the most common social media app created by Mark Zuckerburg, Facebook. Steve Jobs is also the reason we have our iPhones (though Tim Cook is the current COO of Apple) and Bill Gates has introduced us to Microsoft (Windows and Xbox). Even the world's most globalized food chain (though not all countries still have it) McDonalds is influential as well as KFC, Burger King, Pizza Hut and Starbucks. And if it wasn't for US, we won't have Netflix given that most TV shows there are American (How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, F. R. I. E. N. D. S., 13 Reasons Why, Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead). Not to mention our childhood network Nickelodeon, Disney and Cartoon Network.

Unilever is also a powerful company as they produce popular toiletries such as Colgate and Close-Up toothpastes as well as Palmolive shampoo. They also have P&G who created the Safeguard soap and Vicks (inhaler and vapor rub).

Cars of the United States are famous as well. Brands like Ford, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Tesla, Jeep, Jaguar and Cadillac features mostly high end quality products but I don't think that it's easy to own these cars because you gotta be fortunate enough to own one of these.

Though there are also countries who are strong enough to compete with the US in terms of the above mentioned categories just like China and South Korea as well as other rich countries. If I fail to mention other inventions of the US, kindly add it to your opinions.

This question is inspired by an ID show I was watching, in which their was an officer who was shot and killed while sitting in his car checking the identification of the people he pulled over (he didn't even see it coming). The officer left behind a wife and 5 kids.

That is what got me thinking which one would be harder to be married to or in a relationship with knowing that stuff like that happening is apart of the job description. Honestly, I imagine they would all be difficult to deal with because you'd always be worried.
