I've been seeing this one psychiatrist for almost 4 years now. The guy is awesome and helps me a lot with dealing with my adhd. Still with the more sensitive matters I face with it. I honestly have issues telling him really hard core issues. Since I know if I do I will start crying, throat close up, and having to remember how horrible it feels when they happen. I hate having others see me cry so it makes it hard making myself do it. lol

We've only been broken up for like three days by the way and we were together for 5 months but we're still living together while I get my things together.
My ex got very angry and upset (and even said so and said that he didn't want me to) go on a date or have sex with any other guys.

He told me that he still cares about me and loves me (I asked).
He has still cuddled me the past two nights.
He is the one who ended things (he has fairly bad depression and just started seeing a psychiatrist but we'd been fighting a lot)
He told me he knew I was trying to rekindle things because I told him I still loved him and cared about him.
He also said that he knows I'd try to make things work again.
He said that if I still loved him, I wouldn't be trying to see other men (it was mostly as a distraction because I'm upset and I never actually went)
He told me he didn't care if I was dating but then admitted today that he lied and he does care and it bothers and upsets him.

But he hasn't tried to fix anything with us. I asked him why he cares so much and why it upsets him if I date and stuff and he said he didn't know (he's super bad with his emotions, like really bad) and when I asked him if he wanted to figure out why, he said he doesn't want to know (whatever that means).

I told him that there's a reason he gets so angry and upset and it bothers him so much and that I think there's a part of him that wants to fix things too and he didn't say anything or deny it (he was literally out the door going to work).

He was making sarcastic comments and saying I shouldn't go out with any of the guys that were texting me.

What do you think?

My boyfriend of 5 months and I had been fighting a lot lately (almost daily, if not daily) for about the past couple months or so. He's having severe issues with depression (he just started seeing a psychiatrist) and it's been really hard.
About a week ago he said he wasn't happy anymore in the relationship and needs to work on his depression and didn't want to be in the relationship anymore.
I had been unhappy too (just hadn't said anything) because of the fighting but before all the arguing, we were happy. So I asked him if he'd be willing to give it a few days (no specified amount of time) and see if we can stop arguing and see if he feels happy again. Four days later, I wasn't happy and it didn't seem like he was either (we hadn't been spending time together like we were supposed to) and we broke up that night; that was three nights ago. I left Friday night and came back Saturday night and am staying here for three weeks or so while I get my stuff together.

One of my friends was trying to make me feel better and gave my number out to a bunch of her guy friends and my phone was like exploding last night. An old guy friend of mine got in touch with me and wanted me to come over and I considered it because I was feeling really sad and wanted a distraction.
My ex got so mad and was telling me to leave and just go if that's what I wanted (repeatedly). It was obviously that it was really upsetting to him. He told me that he didn't care if I was dating but that he cared and it upset him if I was having sex with another guy. He said he still loves me and cares about me when I asked. I told him that I still love and care about him and he said that me telling him that mattered to him but that if it was true, I wouldn't be going to see other guys. At night, the past two nights, he's had us sleep in the sweethearts cuddle (my head on his chest and his arms around me, which is how we've always slept) and said he wanted to (not just out of habit).

He agreed and last night kissed me and told me loved me before we went to bed (like always)
and this morning before he left, he hugged me and kissed me twice and told me he loved me.

Now before, when we've had issues (considering breaking up because of the fighting), he didn't tell me he loved me or hugged or kissed me.

He went to his aunt's because they're about to put his childhood dog to sleep because he's dying and he said that the was the main reason for going but also to create some "space from the tension" with us.
He doesn't handle stress that well so I know he needed to get away for the day.

Does it sound like he's considering us trying to work it out?
