Search Results: being too forward

My girlfriend and another couple went out to dinner. At some point the movie aquaman came up. My girlfriend expressss her little man crush on him. Perfectly normal I have no problem with this. It’s normal to find other people attractive and never have a problem when she makes a mention of it. Except this time.. I googled him when she mentioned and found a pic and asked her if it was him. She looks, says yes, scrolls through some more pics and made more comments about him. She was pretty enthusiastic in admiring him and I think she really over emphasised. She went on about how he’s such a fine physical specimen, how he just looks so demanding and some other comments too. The two that really put me off the most were - “ he is just the EPITOME of a man”. And “his genetics are just a jump forward in evolution”.
I tried to explain to her later that I felt her saying all that and with that much enthusiasm behind the words came off as a little rude, disrespectful and not totally appropriate to me. I told her I’d never go on like that about another woman whether she’s a celebrity or someone sitting at another table. She said she would feel the same as me if I had expressed stuff like that about someone else around us. But she says she feels there’s no problem to do that when that person isn’t there and there’s “no potential for anything to happen.”
I wholeheartedly disagree with her. I don’t think a person being in the vicinity makes going on n saying things like that any less abrasive and inappropriate. Do you? I know women would obviously find him very attractive haha I’ve seen pictures but I just think saying all that is a little much and I really didn’t appreciate it. What’s everyone’s think here?
