Diving right into it. My ex boyfriend and I broke up 1st of April (wasn't an April fools :S). Anywho, I started to notice a distance between us. He no longer made me a priority and communication was to a minimum.

In the beginning he did all the perusing & courting. When he first asked me out I refused because he just got out of a relationship apx. a week before. I still agreed (Mistake?). I suggested he take time after that relationship ended and let him know we could just remain friends. Nope. He didn't want that. Gifts got bigger, more time and attention was spent together.

In the end, he stated he needed space. He felt he needed time alone because he had been in relationships since the age of 16 (We're both 25). His final words, "But, I don't want to lose you. I still want you in my life but I don't think I give you what you want right now." I responded, "I can't remain friends with you but I'll give you your space."

Since that day, I haven't contacted him. Giving all the space in the world. Look at the date... it's killing me. I work with him too so seeing him at work is really awkward. However, I always make sure I look cute and have a smile on my face. Workouts have been amp'd up, girl time has been doubled, and dinner dates with new potentials have been nice. Buuut... I still miss my ex terribly. Especially when I see him at work.

Should I ever make contact? (In person/Text/Phone) Or should I just continue resisting? He hasn't called me but still hangs with my friends. I see him looking and he's so much more animated when I see him now. I don't know. Help anyone?

I have been hanging out with my x and I figured we were friends. Except he does things that make me think he likes me. He puts his face really close to mine, He stands within an inch of me and when he hugs me goodbye he holds me close for longer than usual. He seems interested about what is going on in my life. We see each other once, twice a week and talk on the phone at least once. Well. I decided to make a move and to see what happens. I sent a text that implied I enjoyed being close and wanted maybe more (like a kiss). He didn't respond. We hung out later that week and I asked about it. We talked and I know guys hate talking so I tried not to be pushy but more inquisitive about what is going on. He said he liked things the way they are. I apologized for making things weird and he said I didn't. I don't know what to do. I was fine being friends but his actions stirred up feelings. If we both wanted to I would discuss getting back together. It wasn't my intention in trying to be friends. I don't want to be lead on, used or manipulated. Its not my delusion that he was acting interested, my friends and people who saw us together thought so too. It isn't behavior you do with a girl you only want to be friends with. I texted him about 4 days after this to do something and didn't get a response. May seem weird but he has in the past not responded if he doesn't want to do something instead of just saying no. I plan on giving him space for a week or so but I am confused as to what he is thinking, doing and what he thinks this is and what he wants.
