Imagine a parent with one or two kids, without a partner getting dropped on an uninhabited island with no way out untill the kid (s) is/are over 15. Do you think in this situation a woman or a man would do a better job at raising, teaching and nurturing the kids, surviving and making sure the kids survive and don't get eaten or get sick or stuff like that...

My boyfriend and I have been going out for 2 years now. It was super fun for the first like 6 months. Then ever since then we've on and off fought over stupid stuff to really serious problems. Some have gotten solved, but some stay the same. The big problems come from both of us. There have definitely been really fun times, too. We both also feel really comfortable with each other. It's been 2 years so we know a lot about each other and we share the same political and religious views, and we have a lot of the same interests. And we have the same ideas about like kids and raising them and stuff (we're too young to actually be doing that though). My problem is I have been on and off thinking about if I want to stay with him or not. I mean sure we're comfortable and there are happy times, but I'm bored and he seems bored, but I know he has no desire to end things at all. The times we got close he was just devastated. I was sad, too.. but.. I don't know. I'm really unsure. He also has big depression and social anxiety problems that he doesn't deal with (hasn't ever sought out help). And I have tried helping, but there isn't much I can do. So it's tiring being with him sometimes... And I just wonder if I might have fun with someone else. But then again me and him like.. work together so well in how similar we are. And I love him and he /really/ loves me. What would you do in my situation?

this is his very first relationship, while I've had 2 before him.

and I am A single mom raising three kids with straight A's and I own three businesses so I am busy but been that way from the start. and he doesn't work. Don't know if at needs to be told or not haha

then again I'm not willing to waste my time & Especially my children's time on something that may get worse and worse
which is why I have still not introduced my children to him or been intimate because those are two things that people rush into too fast these days in my opinion

The USA is far and away the most generous country when it comes to giving donations.
It's holiday season and many hands are out, for multiple reasons.
PBS is offering Holiday CDs, the Salvation Army is ever present with their red buckets, kids are going door to door offering Christmas wrapping paper and wreaths. the Marine Corps has their Toys for Tots, and the various religious groups and churches are ramping up their final fund raising drive of the year.
Charities can be ranked by calculating how much of your donation is actually put directly to the cause, and not sucked up by administrative expenses.
Many will be surprised at how little of their donation actually reaches a recipient in some cases.
Some are outright scams.
I will release a survey identifying the top organizations that return the highest amount to the intended recipient sometime later so as not to contaminate this poll.

There's a stigma attached to being a single mother. Many men don't want to take on raising another man's kid and there's also the idea that single mothers are easy and whatnot.

But would you date a woman like this? A woman who married her high school sweetheart and then got pregnant and when he was on the way to the hospital he was t-boned and died. She did nothing to become single, obviously.

My aunt is like this. This happened to her. She is a lovely woman and is the nicest lady ever. She had such a kind heart, but her husband died the day her son was born. No man will give her the time of day once they hear about the boy.

Is the kid a death sentence for her love life? She's been single for 8 years now. I hurt for her because she'd be such a good wife but men run from the idea of a child.

There was a guy for a while but she walked in on him touching her son inappropriately and immediately left him. That was 4 years ago.

Any hope for her?

My boyfriend and I met almost 6 months ago. He had been married and has 4 children with his ex. I have two children of my own. His breakup with his ex was a bad one. Children are caught in between. I try to explain to him that it's important to keep the children out of this; that they do not need to know what is going on between the two of them. Things seem to have gone better between him and his ex. Which, to me, is a great thing for the children. He's been asking me to move in with him, which at first was a huge no no for me. Then, my feelings about it has changed. We get along great. I'm totally in love with this man. He's a wonderful, caring and loving boyfriend. My kids love him. The only thing is, for me, If i'm going to invest myself, my heart, raising his four children, bringing my children into this relationship, i want some kind of commitment. His answer is, "It's too fast". He says that he's not ready for it. As I explain to him, I don't want this now or next year. Hell... I'm not saying i want to get married in 2 months. I simply want to know if down the road that we could make a commitment. His answer is.. he's now confused. I don't believe it's that hard of a question to answer. I'm broken by his answer. But thank God, I would rather lose him than be with someone that doesn't love me enough to give themselves completly to me. I would raise his 4 kids but he cannot commit to me? Am I stupid? He loves me enough for me to raise his children but not enough to commit to me. MMmmm. I'm thinking. Please tell me what you think. Am I the only one who sees this as a big RED FLAG? I understand he was married. It may scare him but I'm not his ex. I LOVE HIM with all my heart but I'm simply not that stupid. GUYS, please tell me why you would say that to a woman that you say you love. Fill me in. The sex is great. The relationship is great. I love his children, they love me. My kids love them. What is the issue?
