Him - babe remember that indian family that was dressed up today at the mall?
Me - yeah why?
Him - thats how indians dress for a special ocassion like a wedding or something
Me - ohokay wow
Him - yeah.. can I ask u something?
Me - yeah?
Him - lets just say.. you marrying an indian guy. Would you do 2 weddings? Like 1 wedding thats indian wedding and then the other of your choice?
Me - yeah I would
Him - aww okay thats good to hear. I like that you respect other people's cultures
*then he kisses me*

Why did he ask me this random question?
Is he thinking of marrying me or just random question in general?

Why did he ask me this random question?

He is my first boyfriend ever and we have dated a month only. List:We keep on arguing 3 times on text because i feel bad and empty because he shows no affection, he is not allowed to date, he refuses to even hold my hand, he is leaving to college soon, he doesn't try to hang out with me after school, he is going to a different country this summer, i feel hurt, i feel like he is distancing himself from me, texting me less and less, my parents tell me that this won't work out that i am just going to get really hurt , my eyes are swollen from crying last night because what my parents said is hitting me hard now, He is muslim and his family might not accept me, he hasn't changed just one armed hugs no holding hands no kiss, everything is so dry because he doesn't like pda he says he does that in private but he never tries, lastly, he told me that if i want to i should just leave twice. But he has been sweeter that any guy has ever been to me, he made me feel special, he sent me the sweetest messages so I don't know what to do

I'm 20 and my boyfriend is 21. We have dated for 7 months now but before we dated we knew each other for a year. When I'm with him, everything is so simple. Talking about anything and everything is always so fun, even when it is just about our day. We know each other very well now, we are completely unmasked, and I always feel at home with him. He's the first person that I've ever felt this clingy towards. He is one of few I have fun with hanging out one-on-one.
But it's finals week. I'm used to seeing him for a couple hours every day, but sometimes he has to study for an exam for a day or two. Whenever this happens, I get really lonely. My roommate also moved out so I'm in a room by myself. I have a friend group, but we don't hang out individually because we click better as a group, and some members are living off-campus so we can't get together every night like we used to. It takes a very special person for me to like hanging out with them one-on-one since I do much better in groups, and because of that, when he leaves I don't have much to do.
The hobbies I tried to develop fell through (making bracelets--I broke the needle. Got frustrated as hell) and clubs on campus seem more interested in spicing up resumes rather than actually doing stuff. I'm a little different, so are my friends, so it's hard to find someone for me to really enjoy being around.
So I'll sit in my dorm, watch YouTube and I'll feel guilty for wasting the day away. I get great grades and everything, I work out and try to eat healthily, but I guess I want to know-what are fun, cheap, productive things to do by yourself? I hate to burden him. Is it unhealthy how much I cling onto him? Is it weird I have issues with one-on-one relationships?

Like, the amount of likes you get on Facebook... or the amount of people that favourite your tweets or love your Instagram photos?

I just feel that's how so many people live life these days, posting every special detail of life. Engagements, births, marriages - some events that really, should be reserved between you and your spouse.

And then there's the common everyday events: the selfies, the nights out, food, cars, pets and so on...

I feel we seem to upload the most glamorous parts of life onto social media; whilst neglecting to include the not so great parts of our daily lives. It's just so unrealistic, and it just paints a really fake representation of ourselves. And I'm not going to lie, if it doesn't make feel inferior on a daily basis, it only makes me begin to dislike people... as they indulge in fakery.

I hope I'm not the only one who feels this way, it just seems the more attention a person can achieve on social media; the better they feel about themselves.

Do you reckon gaining lots of 'likes' or whatever is a true reflection of how popular a person is?
