I had long conversation over a span of a months or so with a girl I met on a dating website. She lives over 800km away. She thinks she's may be damaged. She once had a LDR and it didn't work out. She is not sure whether she wants something like that again. She broke up with her bf of 2 years 3 months ago. He treated her poorly, shouted at her in public, still owes her $2,000, and a lot more she doesn't want to tell.

She likes talking with me and wants to continue despite of all this. She said she likes me and thinks I'm very sweet. But she can't promise me to be anyone's gf. What is your interpretation?

So my ex ended up dumping me for her best friend. Her best friend just so happened to be one of her bosses, and he was married.

A lot went down during Valetines weekend that I was privy to. Needless to say towards the end of our relationship she treated me pretty poorly even after my efforts of trying to comfort her and be there for her when her best friend decided he wanted to work things out with his wife. Well, he went behind his wife's back and began reaching out to my ex which eventually led to him finally choosing my ex for his wife.

Recently I finally decided to make the choice of reaching out to the man's ex and sharing the whole story with her and the course of events of what happened through my own perspective. I thought she had a right to know what was going on behind her back. What my ex and her husband did was not right. While they did finally hook up and despite my ex saying she never would and that she wasn't into him like that she was madly in love with the guy. They had an emotional affair for quite a long time even before I came into the picture, but it was what it was.

Telling his wife though caused her to lash out on him, and even report his relationship to the company they work for. Needless to say they have a no tolerance policy for managers dating employees in the work place. Outside of work friendships aren't even allowed. So they have likely been both fired.

Just about everyone agrees I made the right choice, but this is among friends and family as well as the wife. I don't necessarily think it was the right choice, but a necessary course of actions, and I most certainly do not think I made a wrong choice. While I still care for my ex, and she will likely never get that the abuse she put me through, and the games she played with me even if they were not intentional were not right. She did string me along for quite a bit of time after the relationship, but in hindsight I think she was just too weak

Ok so I dated my ex-girlfriend for about 3 years. She broke up with my at the end of February of 2014 because she said I was neglectful and didn't treat her as well as she wanted. She resented me for it. I was always loving of her, I just didn't show it enough. I realized I wasn't doing things for her and with her the way most couples did. The truth is, she was right. It was my first real relationship with anyone and we were long distance for a bit of time (with school), I was just inexperienced. After we broke up I Was destroyed. She kept calling me and seeing me nearly everyday and since I Wanted her back I was ok with it. When we were hanging out, I made sure to show her things would be different between us. This went on for about 6-7 months. Until she started dating another guy. I could not handle that at all and did so poorly. I got really clingy and jealous (two things I never was before, she knows that). This turned her off to me completely and after a big fight (about the guy she was talking to) she told me she didn't see me the same way anymore and that I had become clingy etc. After a week she started calling because she missed me, but only as a friend she said. We kept talking for a little bit, but I couldn't handle her seeing another guy. She has always been mine and I love her too much. I made it clear that I loved her and wanted to be with her and I told her to give me a call if things didn't work out between her and the other guy, and if she was interested in giving me a real chance, but that I couldn't settle for friendship. A month later she started calling me out of the blue and we make small talk for like 30 minutes or so. Then the other day, she said she wanted to meet for coffee but she doesn't want me thinking we're talking again. I said she knows what I want, that my clinginess is gone and over with, and that I want her to have fun with me again. I said its up to her.
