A male buddy of mine said this to me the other day - we hang out almost everyday and have gotten close, yet he says he only sees me as friend but he refuses to set me up with any other guys or pushes away guys that show interest in me, and seems to be very jealous... he also checks me out at times and always wants to hang out with me. Does he have feelings for me or want me? or am i just a "friend" to him?

(However, he said telling the story would be much better in person.) Finally, he ended his text with "I wrote a long poem the other night. I'll show you it when I can." Am I overthinking it or does it mean something?
