I have a crush, and I told him about it, we are pretty good friends, known each other for about 5 months, he is extremely serious when it comes to relationships, like no "hit it and quit it" and when he gets into a relationship he wants it to be special and long lasting, I personally am on the same page so we both have never dated before.
I cannot tell if he likes me or not, while he told me in a 8 hour talk, he told me he can't see anything above friendship, mainly because he dosen't know me that well, he is one of those guys that takes them like years to develop a crush because they want to get to know someone, and even more time to make a move.
We have ton in common, he even told me he was surprised since no girl has ever liked him before, he currently says he likes someone else (I asked, he didn't volunteer) but when he said yes, he was what it seemed like iffy about his own feelings, and he saw my expression change, he instantly started to change it, saying while he can see him dating her, but he sees it as a bro/sis relationship, mainly because of her, she was the first girl that he opened up to and has know for a few years that is why he feels a closeness to her, is what he told me.
He is a major introvert, is very honest and since I have only known him for like 5 months, I don't know if I should just keep hope alive and get to know him on a more intimate level (like the talk) rather then our on the surface friendship and see where it goes, since he already knows I like him.
He has told me he would hate to loose me as a friend and it took him a while to talk to me just to make sure he didn't loose me as a friend... he said he has seen to many friends get into relationships, just to break up and never speak again (we're in collage) The thing is he still stares, we still talk and flirt, he gets jealous of other guys when I give them more attention then him... does he like me and is he just scared try us out? Give it time? Or friendzoned?

I used to have some feelings for one of my best friends and he felt the same way, but I backed off. He had a girlfriend plus I didn't want to lose the friendship we had - those aren't the reasons why I backed off though. I thought it was, but I realize now that it was more or less because I was afraid that it was turning into something, and I got scared. I'm twenty and I've never been in a real relationship before (real=no boundaries + lasting longer than a year at least), and I got scared that we would actually work out (am I making sense to ya'll?). I guess things were progressing fast between us yet he had a girlfriend, and I felt like I didn't know what I was doing.

I eventually forced myself to give up, and I was successful. However, I've started to have feelings for him again after spending a whole day with him and his family/other friends on his college graduation day (he held an afterparty afterwards). That day, I learnt more about him and about his family, and I realized all I'd been missing out on. During the party, I found myself jealous when other girls would flirt with him and get all excited about our newly single mutual friend. By the end of the day, I realized I'd fallen for him again. I recently said goodbye to a man, so at that time I thought it might just be from the adrenaline from my heartbreak as well as from other things like family issues going on in my life right now - but I still feel the same, so I guess it's not the adrenaline.

That night, I couldn't sleep. A few nights later, I went crazy and told him through Skype (since I'd fled the country for summer break). We tried to arrange a time to meet in person before I left, but couldn't. The result? Bad. He froze for a second, then he told me he no longer has feelings for me and that he's not looking for a relationship right now because he just broke up with the girlfriend I mentioned at the beginning. I shouldn't have told him. Now, he feels awkward and we used to chat

I've noticed this pattern of guys who complain about girls going after awful guys, but these same guys go after awful girls. Like seriously, I know girls who are constantly going after trainwreck relationships. I'm never friends with these girls and I try to avoid them like the plauge. I dont understand why guys say they want a long-lasting relationship, but they go after girls who are emotionally-unstable and who never have good boyfriends. If I can find female friends who are emotionally stable and aren't dating stereotypical jocks/players, so can you.

Another thing, why don't I ever hear guys complain about being friendzoned by girls who constantly date decent good respectful men? Why don't I ever hear guys complain about being friendzoned by girls who aren't interested in dating boys in general because she's busy doing other things in her life? Why is it always guy being friendzoned by girls who like douchebags and losers?
