He and I are both young 40s and very outgoing. We met online and had a few very long (more than 3 hours) phone calls where we talked about everything from fun to family to intimate things...We agreed to meet when he came back from a work trip the following week. He texted me on Friday and we coordinated a dinner/drinks date for Saturday. He lives an hour away, so he emailed me directions and info on the restaurant, etc. He has been very sweet that way and takes care of details.

I was very attracted to him, and I thought he liked me, but you never know if he was into me physically...which is uber important to guys more than girls...I couldn't tell by his body language. He didn't hold my hand or anything...just a sweet funny cool dude.

Dinner was great. We laughed, joked, toasted with wine a few times to our fun evening and stuff like that. He said he would email me options for him to help pick out a halloween costume. He ordered us both filet mignon and a nice bottle of wine. A significant first date investment, but I think he treats all women that way...(amazing, huh?). He works alot, and hasn't dated much. He is a big drinker. I had about 1 glass of wine and he finished the bottle...he talked about drinking wine often, and also "going drinking" when he was on vacation, so I know he wasn't trying to drink more around me, it's just him. His eyes got a bit tired looking almost 2 hours into the date, we finished dinner and went out to our cars. He liked my car and was asking about the nav system and some gadgets...stuff like that. I asked if he wanted to see how my car's nav system worked (yes, my ploy for getting him in my car) and he hesitated, but then got in.

We talked and pushed car buttons and stuff...he told me to put my address in the nav so he could see how far I was from him...it was 60 miles...he said "well, I guess I could take the train up there"...I said "wow, you really don't like to drive, huh?" he mentioned something about not wanting to drive if he was drinking. (can only see me if drinking is involved?). He was looking tired. I asked if he was tired and he said..."yeah, I guess I should go". From the passenger side he put his arm around me and gave me a hug and soft kiss on my cheek, then opened the door...I said "hey...come here" and he turned back to me and I leaned in and kissed him..we had like 3 short soft pecks...and then he got out and left. The next day, I texted him a thank you note (he likes texting) saying I'm looking forward to coming down here to see you again. He responded with " hey R, it was nice meeting you. Glad you had a good time". I thought that was a blow off kind of response, so I responded with "doesn't seem like you want to do this again, would you rather not?..no hard feelings, just let me know". His response back was "I'm cool with that. You are fun".

So...people...he knows I'm interested, but I can't tell if he's just being NICE or likes me. I will wait to hope he calls..but what's up
