I have a buddy who is constantly going on about how he thinks his wife is cheating on him... He has some good points, but on the other hand, she is a great girl and has no history of cheating. Nor does any of her sisters. They are a pretty family oriented, tight, loving family. She isn't a party girl by any means.

He said she:

Doesn't show affection (they seriously have sex less than 10 times a year)

constantly on her phone and plays keep-a-way with the screen. If he goes anywhere near her phone she gets nervous.

He caught her talking to some dude on FB about king over for drinks and making "bad decisions" but she claims she thought that was weird and never responded.

He checked her messages again and the conversation with him disappeared.

She is ALWAYS an hour or more late from work and blames it on scheduling conflicts of other employees or the fact she is a Vet tech and always seems to have surgeries right when she is about to leave.

They sleep in separate rooms (he snores so he offered to sleep on the couch so she can sleep)

Goes out for "Girls night" maybe two or three times a month but never homes home till the next day.

When she does come home, he noticed that she won't go near him unless she showers first.

She went from being a nerdy, hardcore/punk chick, to listening to Top 40 Hip-hop and hanging out with a much different crowd.

What do you guys think?

Because whenever people go on a date, most often than not they tend to show ONLY their best-viewed-from-this-angle side. Well, if you want to impress someone I guess that's the only way to go.

Sometimes some people even create an 'alter ego' they wear during a date so that they would look promising and get as much Attractiveness Points as possible in one night. All of this in order to score a next date and/or get them to lay with you.

Whereas officially just hanging out with somebody and removing all those girl-and-boy-on-a-date rules and games would mean they could comfortably have fun and talk without being too self conscious all the time.

Oh sure, there's the risk of falling on the friendzone or being just a buddy, but wouldn't that be a great foundation to lay in a relationship (if you're trying to be in one)?

Falling in love with a pre-calculated persona that was just assembled on a critical moment before the date, all puffed up to fit your needs, and then realizing their faults and incompatibility with you afterwards when you guys are together for some X number of dates.

OR

Being interested and comfortable with someone who just wants to be with you and start out maybe just as friends, having fun with no rules and games, without any scheduled dates and restrictions, and then maybe entertain the thought of being together after making sure you guys are fit and meant to be for each other.
