I've been with this guy for 15 years off and on as his bootycall. Even though it was never clear what our relationship was he always wanted head but would cuddle and make out with me as well. We lost touch, I got married, and now he is back. He has told me that he loves me and that he messed everything up for us in the past. He told me he wants me to get a divorce and marry him. This is a big deal because I have always loved him! We talked for over a year before we saw each other again. When we were finally face to face all the same feelings were there. I've seen him several times since then and we always ended up in bed together. I'm scared of his intentions because of our past. Unfortunately I've brought that up a lot and it seems to bother him. The last 3 times I've seen him he's taken me to dinner (a first for us and even paid) and the other two we've just cuddled on the couch watching TV and I barely got a kiss from him. My question is had he lost interest or is he trying to prove this time is different from the past?

I've been talking to this guy for a about a month now. He's unlike any other guy I've talked to before and is very respectful and kind-hearted. I don't usually date because of how bad I've been treated in the past (which he knows about) but he treats me like a princess when we're together in person. We're both always so busy but he's even busier than I am so I hardly see him. I haven't seen him in over a week and he hardly texts me back anymore, now that he's further into his graduate studies. He said he was too busy to hang out a couple of days ago and said "how about tomorrow instead?" so I said sure. The next day I didn't hear from him at all, I was pretty upset about it but didn't want to come off too strong by telling him. He finally sent me a text later that night saying he was busy but didn't at all address blowing me off or apologize. As if it never happened. But just when I think he's lost interest he'll say or do something (online though..) that will throw me off again. When we started talking he was really communicative and asked me out a lot, but for over a week now I've been the only one really trying to initiate conversation or to get him to take a break to hangout. Not that I think it makes a difference but he's introduced me to his friends already who get along with me so well, and his family knows about me already. I give him a lot of space and even stayed silent all weekend thinking he'd message me to see what was up, but nope, not a single text or call. He is all about taking things slow and we've even discussed "where we stand" which is that we're just getting to know each other and going on dates but not in a relationship. When we had this talk he said he was so relieved that I didn't see us as a couple yet.. I think he may be scared of commitment. I can't help but to feel I'm over thinking this though because although his behavior & responsiveness has changed a lot, we still aren't really "in a relationship" just dating. What are your opinions?

I told him I needed to figure my own shit out and that I didn't want to talk right now, but he did quite the bang up job of avoiding any kind of conversation that could improve our relationship is (or whatever it is at this point) I know he cares about me, I know he really likes me, but our relationship us stuck in the rut where it either improves or it self destructs. I don't want it to self destruct, I want to hep it grow. my friends root for this relationship because they see how happy we can make each other, and how happy we are around each other. it's damn near harmonious. but he seems like a scared little boy who runs from problems, and I know that not who he really is, I've known him too long to know that he doesn't have a set of balls when it comes to talking about whats real. however, we're not talking right now. I want to let the dust settle, I know we both want to be together in some capacity, but when we tried to do it casually like a year ago in ended terribly because of his jealousy issues. I'm willing to take it even just a little further to avoid problems like that, but I haven't even had a chance to voice that to him and I don't know how much space I should be giving him either. it's been a week. in the past he has contacted be instead before I even had to.

Now he has been busy cause of his assignments and project work and we have not been able to connect much. 2 days back he said his brother is coming down to see him. We got in a fight about defining our relationship. I think he's scared from past experiences about taking things further. I tried to call and apologize for springing the conversation on him but I have heard nothing and I'm worried. We've been on and off for a long time, and he was the one who made the big effort to get back into my life this last time, but I'm really worried he won't call back or he's really mad or something else I don't know.
