Search Results: is it ok to sleep with other girls

I mean is it OK to have 2 or more NON-serious relationships at the same time? Say you've been on a few dates with one person, and you meet someone else who you like, is it OK to start dating them too and decide which one you like most after you've been on a few dates with each of them? Or should you just make your choice and stick with it? Also, what if you're sleeping with both of them?

I met a girl (Jess) out clubbing 3 weeks ago & we've been on 2 dates and going out again soon. She's nice and I quite like her, but I'm not 100% convinced she's "the one". I don't want to end it yet though because I do like her and I want to get to know her more so I can decide if I really like her or not. We've not slept together yet, but I think it's likely to happen in the next couple of weeks.

Last night I went out clubbing for a friend's birthday, and one of his friends was a really cute girl (Kate) who looked more "my type of girl". We made eye contact a few times while dancing so I briefly introduced myself and we got dancing. After a bit, I went in for the kiss, and we kissed for about 30 secs. Then we danced away from the rest of the group for a few mins, then kissed for 5-10 mins. She was a very "enthusiastic" kisser and I got a bit carried away, so we were starting to stroke each others' backs and feel bums etc. Jess had been in the back of my mind all this time. As we started to "grope" a bit more, I realized that the only way this was going to end was with us going back to one of our houses and probably having sex. It had gone too far for us just to go back to dancing with everyone and gone on a date later. When I realized this, I decided that it wouldn't be fair on Jess if I slept with Kate. So I had 3 options:

1. take Kate home and end it with Jess the next day.

2. ditch Kate - just go home on my own and pretend nothing happened.

3. forget my morals and take Kate back to my place. If Kate was interested I'd date both of them for a while, if not then I'd just carry on dating Jess.

What would you have done at this point? Which choice would you have made? Or would you just have not got into that situation at all by not dancing with "Kate"?

I chose option 2. It sucked. I didn't want to just walk away and leave her wondering what she'd done wrong, so I took her outside where it was quieter and I told her "I'm really sorry. I'm actually kind of seeing someone at the minute so... you know... I'm really sorry for leading you on." She looked a bit hurt but said she was cool with it. I said she was REALLY nice and I was very sorry, and went home. I felt such a d!ckhead. I hate that I upset her, it was so harsh of me :(

Plus, I now think maybe I should have just invited Kate back to mine and maybe we could have just chatted. She seemed a really nice girl and I completely blew it with her.
