There's an idea in "The Manosphere"/"Red Pill" community, that women are born with "sexual lottery tickets." When they are young, they have a high "sexual marketplace value" which means they can easily get a romantic partner (because men prefer youth), whereas for men, it's more difficult.

The belief is that the tables turn after about 28, when it becomes much harder for women to get romantic partners (because of their age) & much easier for a man to get a romantic partner, because he's acquiring more wealth.

According to the manosphere, after about 30, women hit "The Wall", which means that men want pretty much nothing to do with them (romantically speaking), so if a woman hasn't "settled down" by then, she'll probably "die alone with her cats."

Do you think this is true?

The idea that in a relationship, things like minor flirting, ogling other members of the opposite gender, liking/commenting on seductive social media posts, or other subtle borderline romantic/sexual interactions are okay, as long as there is no actual cheating and your partner is still ultimately choosing you.

I personally can't really relate to this outlook. I mean, I understand the idea of letting your partner breathe a little and not controlling their every move. But I feel that if you choose to be in a monogamous relationship, you should be fully and enthusiastically committed to that arrangement. Being true to your partner, in all ways and with your full heart, should not feel like a sacrifice or a chore. I don't see why kinds of micro-indiscretions should be necessary, or desirable, if you're fully and happily committed to your partner. So why do it? And why view it as harmless?

What are your thoughts? if you subscribe to this attitude in a relationship, why do you? If you don't, why not?

My ex broke up with me twice two years ago. End of 2016. He was my first boyfriend and it was a horrible experience. He was an alcoholic and abuser. I could tell he was a very broken man but he tried to have fun and be happy.

When he deactivated his social media two years ago I knew in my gut something was wrong but I couldn’t find out until fast forward to current time when I moved back into my hometown. He drunk drove and almost killed someone and now he’s in jail. This happened a month after our breakup. I had no idea until I had a hunch to look him up.
Serves him right and he deserves to be in there but I also feel so bad for him because I know he doesn’t have any support and he’s alone. I don’t think many people know and I know his parents probably disowned him. It’s all assumptions though. I’m a spiritual person and although I don’t feel anything romantic- my heart breaks that he reached this point in life. Although he didn't give one crap about me I wish I could send an anonymous letter telling him to stay strong and god is making a plan for him.

Anytime I have a fight with past friends or anyone in general I always reach out and see how they are and 99% of the time we are cool. Reached out to ex best friends- ex acquaintances and more. No matter who. Would it be weird if I send an anonymous letter to him? Ugh but I may be considered a stalker and he may report me? I maybe his brother may find out and get mad? Is it over stepping the line? I really have a big heart which is bad. I reached this part in my life where I’m going to church and giving out to the community and etc.

My boyfriend loves daffodils and things that I make him. I don’t know which would be more suitable for valentines and which for his B-day.

It’s winter. I’m not going to be able to get a bouquet of daffodils for cheap, but I do know a guy who makes hand-blown glass flowers, and he happens to make daffodils.
The other option I was thinking of was making him a heart, by hammering nails onto a wooden block and weaving embroidery thread to make a shape, a heart is just a cute idea and I can do a lot more.
I’m also giving him some other stuff but this is what I can’t decide on.

He wants both (all he knows is that it’s a glass pretty thing or a wooden thing I make) and I just don’t know which to give him on Valentine’s. Which is more romantic and which is a better birthday gift? Pick the one you’d rather get from your girlfriend.

So my partner and I are coming up 1 year together, we don't live together yet. Not in a major hurry for this as I feel its important to get to know someone properly before jumping through serious milestones.

Anyway he has suggested we go out to celebrate our 1 year milestone and I think that's an awesome idea. I on the other hand also have a 6 yr old daughter who I would need to get babysat so that we could step out for a couple of hours to at least have a romantic dinner.

He has asked me to organise a babysitter but did not actually offer to pay half of the babysitter fee. I mean we will be splitting the bill at dinner which is fair, I don't have an issue with that at all, I always pay my way or at least pay half. The babysitter fee isn't cheap so it would have been nice if he had of at least offered considering we are coming up 1 year and the celebration is for both of us not just for me. I call it teamwork.

Am I right to expect him to at least pay half the sitters fee to make it possible for both of us to enjoy this milestone together? I mean its not as if we have only just met and its not as if he doesn't know my child...
