Gay is becoming more and more acceptable in the US.
The Supreme court has mandated that states allow civil matrimony between gay couples.
This however seems complicated because it may not apply to all states.
Still, there are many unanswered questions like how to file IRS income tax forms, who is the head of the household, and how to proceed with future adoptions.
What have you to say about it?

I'm at that age, where I like to imagine the future.
I'm nearly at that age where I want to settle down, though I don't yet if parenthood is something for me.
Unfortunately, I am unlikely to have biological children, (a topic that I have mixed feelings about) and I was interested in peoples thoughts of adoption. My ex, and I once had a conversation about it, and he wasn't so keen, his main reason being it wouldn't be his own flesh and blood, and something about the family genes.

Will it be difficult for me do you think to find a guy, who will be very committed to adoption?

Okay first things first: i dont want to start a religious debate or a debate about if you think its morally wrong to be gay. Because being gay is what it is. End of story.
Anywho. I just had a wild thought earlier today about homosexuality. I hypothesized that it may be likely that more people are gay, as a natural means for population control. After all humans are the top predator, so we dont have that to help us with population control. And looking at a, purely biological perspective, two gay people can't reproduce (forget about adoption and fertility treatments.) so it w o uld make sense to me that we are evoloving to not reproduce the "expected" 2 children per woman. (You know to ensure that our species doesn't diminish) im probably rambling, and this may seem like a, totally crazy theory, but hey ! there's always a very small possibility that it holds some truth.

Basically, the theory suggests your weight - like your height - is pretty much determined by your genes.

"Set point theory suggests that our body has a particular range of weight that it is comfortable in, usually about 10% of a body’s weight. That means, if you weight 175, you have about an 18 pound range; if you weigh 325, you have about a 33 pound range. Most people lose and gain within this set point on a pretty regular basis. They may put on a little weight in the winter and lose it in the spring. Or get busy and drop a little weight. Or gain a little when stressed. Or lose a little during an illness. Or whatever. Movement within this range is normal. However, movement outside of that range is not. In fact the body seeks homeostasis – that is the body seeks to stay within that range. To move outside of that range something must go on, something must happen to the body.

This range appears to be set by a number of factors. The strongest factor seems to be genetic, as a number of studies have found. In fact, adoption and twin studies have determined that about 75% of us have the body size we do because of genetics. For that other 25%, a number of factors can mess with your set point, moving it either up or down. Disease is one of those factors."
