Let me give you the skinny to both sides of the argument...
First let me eliminate the most common and yet least rational arguments:
1.) It's not human or living
--- It is most definitely human, it can not grow up to be a tree, a dog, etc.. it is 100% all the time, a human. It is living according to the definition of an organism and how science defines living (grows, eats, adapts, etc.)
2.) Better dead than foster care
--- Absolutely batshit crazy to come to this conclusion. Being adopted or growing up in a foster care does not equate to a poor life.. e. g. Steve Jobs was adopted and never met his dad.
3.) It's murder
--- It is not murder. Murder is an unlawful killing, abortion is a legal killing.
4.) It's wrong / killing is wrong
--- We kill things we don't care about all the time. Enemy combatants, criminals, animals, insects, etc.. Killing someone no one cares about, is actually not all that wrong based on other aspects of killing in society. And a pre-born baby is the epitome of a person no one cares about.
The truth of the matter is, we all believe to some extent abortion is okay and abortion is not okay. We're hypocritical, because we're complex. Of course, many people feel more strongly one way or the other, but it's iffy territory.
FOR INSTANCE, when a child smacks a fly.. you think nothing of it... but when it tears the wings off a butterfly-- that's fucked up. We kill things we don't care about. And for different people, those parameters are different. But in either case, life is motivated by the pursuit of happiness, not of choice, not of life. For some people abortion will make them happier.. the death of an insignificant, unloved butterfly outweighed by the torture of 9 months of irritation... for others it is taking away the beauty of the butterfly for what they consider only a meager annoyance.

That's a very even split. He's saying we kill things that we are completely disassociated from like stomping a bug. You don't see it as a sacred life. You view it as a "thing" that needs to die or get out. I'd have to agree with him. We say murder is wrong, but killing is not or at the very least "can be" acceptable or morally forgivable

The reality is people are predominately moderate. They're just raised liberal or conservative and develop a tendency to rebuke the opposite claim. However, we learn many things-- many things which overlap and contradict. E. g. Conservatives tend to believe in capital punishment, but are against abortions.. Killing a human adult, yet arguing that killing a human pre-born is wrong no matter the circumstance. And then liberals do just the opposite, killing a baby and then arguing killing a human adult is wrong no matter the circumstance. It's the same thing in the end-- killing someone we don't care about. Where the difference of opinion is not in the sacredness of life (since we both justify circumstances for killing), but instead in what kind of people we decide to care about. If one was to truly believe that life preceded happiness, they would not believe in any type of killing, not even self-defense. Which is rare, and also a belief that couldn't survive.
These debates get really in depth after a while. There's different people with many stances on it. You have women who feel that what is still attached to their bodies are for them to do whatever they want with. Then you have others who feel the baby is being killed. You even have those who will get super in depth on it and feel that it's only murder in "certain stages" of pregnancy. In the end I don't foresee any real solution to this.
As for men.. they get zero say in anything and that causes a whole different set of problems on the guy side of things.
Some people can't afford to even carry a child. Prenatal care and doctors appointments can be expensive, and so can delivering a baby. Even if adoption is an option, some people can't take that road.
Some people don't want to be pregnant. And they shouldn't have to be. Abstaining from sex just to avoid pregnancy isn't a good solution to end unwanted pregnancies. Sex isn't just for procreation.
Some people become pregnant after being raped. If they don't want to carry that baby, they shouldn't have to.
If you're against abortion, don't get one, but don't stop others from getting them--especially when they have a good reason.

I've had an abortion. I don't regret having one, but I do regret accidentally becoming pregnant.
I would have loved to have a baby. It's not a choice anyone makes lightly... Adoption, personally, was never an option. The father of the child actually was adopted himself.
Better no life, when there are so many children and adults that were never adopted and grew up in a foster home.

Of course not I am pro life myself and all life no matter how small has always been precious to me especially babies since I had twin brothers who died in the womb due to complications. So things like abortion really get to me I personally think it is wrong and quite sick that a women would order the death of her child simply because it is a inconvenience to her. If you don't want the child then give it up to an adoption agency or a friend who wants a child but can't have one of her own but don't kill it.

I am against religions. I think it causes more harm than good. BUT that doesn't mean I wanna stop others from practicing religion. Just because I don't agree with it or see it necessary (I even find most way too immoral for my own ethics), doesn't mean I wanna stop others from having the choice of religion.

It's not bad to have that opinion at all. Not one bit. I only have a problem with it when people try to stop women from getting abortions if it is in her best interest to have one. Not that anybody should be getting an abortion simply because "they don't want the baby", it's not birth control.
I think it's bad you are against yes. The world is overpopulated. There so many children, that are living in foster homes, and movies from "family" to "family" We don't need more. At the time where you get the abortion, the child is nothing more than a lump of cells. There is no reason for the mother, to ruin her life, or have a child she doesn't want. She will always wonder 'what could have been'. With that said, abortions aren't a "get out of jail free" card. If you don't want children, then you have to use protection of some kind. But accidents do happen.

Because giving your baby to adoption doesn't solve shit. Until there are no kids waiting to be adopted in the world, creating another one just causes another already existing one to not ever get loving parents. It sounds harsh, but a tough 18 years and who knows how many more is not better in any way.

I believe abortions should be legal and available but they shouldn't be used as birth control, which is what I was the attitude I alluded to above encourages. We should have the same attitude toward women who have unwanted pregnancies as we do toward men. If she wasn't ready to have a kid, she shouldn't have fucked the guy (rapes notwithstanding) .

I sort of agree. My stance on abortion is that it should only be used in extreme circumstances like rape, or if the mother is messed up in the head and can't look after a kid. Having sex without protection and then having an abortion is messed up though, I think it should be punished.

You are right and this is coming from a female. Babies are blessings even if they are made through rape. May sound harsh to some but true!
