I have heard some theories about how some good looking guys who posses good qualities can be very intimidating to women so they avoid them sometimes or go for less attractive "safe" guy, So it made me wonder, is it really true? can a guy be too good looking/cool for most girls and they feel intimidated enough to not date him... cause its a thing and i would be lying if i say it doesn't happen in real life (at least in my experience cause it does happen) .

If guy who happens to be really good looking, have a great style, good body and smells nice and does things, talks to people and acts like he could be a great boyfriend material is that a turn off? or more accurately intimidating? (p. s: by presented i meant either by a mutual friend he just happens to enter the same room / building at the same time and just do his thing)

99.9% of women never actually admit this and when asked their answer is "he's a douche not worth my time" or "not my type " or something along the lines of being able to get any guy they want.

I really appreciate a sincere answer, because when i did some reasearch online plenty of guys and girls admitted that yes its a thing, women find really good looking guys with good qualities intimidating and some guys shared their experiences.

I often find myself as too smart for the women who I come across like acquaintances. They usually just talk about social media, partying, etc. Whenever I talk to a girl about politics, science, geography, computers, etc. or anything in general I'll eventually end up saying a word they don't understand or talking about something that they have never heard of before. Like this one day I was talking to this girl about different cultures and backbiting and I used the word clishmaclaver and she didn't know what that word meant. Or this other incident where I was talking to this girl about how rare it is for a birth defect or mutation to have an advantage and even then its not really an advantage , but in hindsight its not actually advantage. I told her about this genetic mutation
where people are born without feeling pain called congenital analgesia. She told me she never heard of it.
