He's a really smart, tall dude who I've known for about a year. He moved to a different school after a few weeks and we occasionally chatted on Facebook. He was always a little on the flirty side, but I thought nothing of it since I had a boyfriend then anyway.

A few days ago, we talked more and started texting. Then we met at starbucks to study and just had casual conversations to get to know each other better. When I left, he hugged me.

Later we texted more and my boyfriend left the country for a while. I went to a traditional country dance with my friends and got pretty bored, so I texted him. He asked to come and we danced the night away. We talked and were really close the whole night. It was a lot of fun and then he hugged me goodbye again.

The next day, he texted me and admitted he liked me. He asked if I did too but I told him I was still in a relationship.

A few hours later, I broke up with my boyfriend (on a completely unrelated matter), and this guy found out about it. He said he was really sorry and knew it was my birthday the next day, so he wanted to see me and cheer me up. Later that evening, he told me he loved me and thought I was beautiful.

I woke up that morning of my birthday and went on Facebook. On his profile, it said he had just gotten into a relationship. I got really confused because he had said he loved me the night before, but we hadn't gotten together (so is there another girl?). Later that day, we talked for about 30 min and then I had to leave. I was too scared to ask him about the relationship thing I had seen. Before I left, he hugged me again and kissed me on the forehead.

For whatever reason, we didn't talk for the rest of the day (and this was today). I'm not sure why he just got a relationship status, I'm not sure if it's because of me, and I'm not sure if he actually likes me. I'm not that attractive and he knows much prettier girls. Plus we haven't talked very intimately yet.

What do you guys think?

There was no infidelity on his behave that I know of but me myself I have had minor conversations and texting sessions with other guys. So when myself and my boyfriend first got into a relationship I had just got out of a relationship a couple months prior that I was hoping to repair but it just didn't work out so then I met my current boyfriend and when we first got together I wasn't really into the relationship (this the texting and convos with other guys occurred) so I made a Facebook status about my ex boyfriend and how I missed him about a month into my current relationship ! NOW a whole year into my relationship I'm completely in love with my boyfriend and couldn't imagine life without him. okay about a recent month my boyfriend Facebook glitched and the status that I made about my ex that I actually deleted off my fb showed up in his timeline and he confronted me with it and from there it was a whole argument we didn't really talk for days except me trying to make things better with him. Luckily he finally forgave me. But even though he forgave me out relationship is not the same. He lives about 2 hours away from me to attend college and he's the star point guard of his college Siena heights university basketball team. I feel as though maybe he's talking to someone else or maybe he's just not I to is anymore. Every time we argue he immediately brings up breaking up. He's not as sweet and attentive as he use to be and he's gotten a little disrespectful as well. I don't know if I should let the relationship go or try to make it work. Every relationship goes through things but this time I can't seem to find the light infront of the tunnel. What should I do? Do you think he's cheating?

My crush just got a girlfriend before I could ask him out. I really like him, so if he becomes single again soon I will tell him my feelings.

However, if this is going to be a long-term relationship, I know that I should just give up and move on. I guess what I'm asking is how long should I wait before the possibility of them breaking up soon becomes highly unlikely? (e. g. 1 month, 2 months etc.)

Some extra info: We are both uni students in our very early 20s. I'm not sure if they are dating casually or not, nor how long they have known each other for. However, he has updated his relationship status on Facebook.
