I'm just a young 20 year old who still lives with his parents and work a 19 hour-per-week part-time job, currently enrolled in community college. I often question myself if there any point of me ever trying to transfer to University if it's expensive as hell and me and my family are currently going through a financial crisis. The part-time job I work at doesn't give me enough hours and paycheck to pay off all my bills, I'm struggling to find a scholarship and I'm not even eligible for a student loan at this moment so I have no other choice but to drive my current car under my parent's name, let my dad pay my cell phone bills on a family plan while I pay for my gas, community college class monthly bills, credit card bills, food and other things.

I still have a ton of classes that I need to pass before I transfer. People often tell me all of these success stories of how every student struggles financially and are able to work hard for scholarships to pay it off. For my case, I think the likelyhood of me ever winning a scholarship is extremely slim, despite that my Cummulative GPA is still in good academic standing. I never have the time to participate in competitions for scholarships, I haven't earn enough credit hours to qualify for any scholarships and I simply was never born with any god-given talents that are worthy of a scholarship (or at least I'm not sure what it is that I have that is useful to college).

I might as well be an underground fighter and drug dealer who lives in the ghetto to make an okay independent living for myself (outside of my parent's home so I won't become a burden to them anymore).

I hate people that say money doesn't make you happy. Sure money alone will not make you happy but generally it will. Almost all anxiety could be solved with money. My anxiety stems from my student loans I'm taking out.. if my car breaks down. Not being able to buy clothes. I guarentee you if I had $50,000 in the bank right now for school and some luxury expenses I would indeed be a happier person. I personally think that people that say that are the people who didn't make it and gave up so they try to rationalize it. Agree or Disagree

I'm 24. I will be 25 in a month and half. A lot of people that I know have moved out right after high school, during college or immediately after college and have roommates. However, I'm a little smart than that (no offense).

After finishing college last year, I recently got an IT job in Janurary 2015. I've been living at home ever since, just working, stacking my money, paying off student loan debt (currently at $9,000... started at $22,000) and going out whenever I want (I don't have a curfew and I don't have to tell my parents where I am going).

What's so great about living with roommates when you can just stack money and live with your parents? At home, I can still drink alcohol whenever I want, I stay out as late as I like and I still meet women. It would probably be the same if I lived with roommates like everyone else. Also, if I had roommates, it would still be hard to have sex if I met a woman... just like it is hard to have sex with your parents around when you live at home. I couldn't just take her back to my place. A lot of people I have met who have roommates have told me it is hard to have sex when they have 3-4 other people still in the house when you are trying to "make things happen"

If I was going to move out, I would want my own place... not to live with roommates, which is why I live with my parents for now, save, pay off loans, buy a better car and then have enough for my OWN place with no roommates.
