Search Results: asking out a girl on a phone

So, there’s this guy i like. Whenever we would be around each other, or when talking over the phone, even alone, it was fun and we would talk about anything and everything and it wouldn’t get awkward at all. We would constantly laugh around each other and it would be the best. He’s such a kind person and would never hurt anyone purposely.

ALL our friends (we had mutual friends) would tease us and, mine personally, would always tell me how great we looked together and that i should date him.

I kept denying it, saying it wouldn’t happen or that i didn’t like him, because i didn’t want it to become a huge deal. Later on, it turns out that he had actually liked me for a while, and the rumor was that he was planning on asking me out.

Me with my crippling fear of relationships, awkwardness, and rejection, still denied it. I was scared. So, i guess he heard that i “didn’t like him“, and it never happened.

Within a week, he does something that nobody ever thought he would do and isn’t like him at all. He’s talking heavy to one of my friends, and she’s really happy with him. He’s kinda awkward around her, but he says he likes being with her. He was my friend before all this, and same with her, and so they’re always around me, constantly being together and it hurts to see them together when i’m right there, and even though they aren’t dating yet it’s pretty obvious that they might and every time i see it i know i could’ve just prevented it if i wasn’t so scared for no reason

Everybody was shocked when they found out he did that, and NOBODY was happy about it. He didn’t even tell his best friends. This might sound super conceited but, a lot of my friends were rooting for us, and when he suddenly moved on to the next girl it was a shock.

I’m running out of characters to write, but, trust me when i say this is completely out of character for him.

My friends say he’s rebounding, but i’m skeptical. Should i just move on?

I'm interested in a guy and am on the fence about asking him for his number; I just want to know if he might be interested in me before I act.

There are times when I catch him glancing/staring at me in the halls when I pass by him at college, (there are times when I can feel him staring at me when I'm not looking, and when I catch him staring he looks immediately behind me and zones in on whatever he was looking at) but sometimes he doesn't even notice me and walks by without glancing at me. This Friday, I looked up from my phone and saw him looking AROUND me, but not at me, which was weird because the entire hallway was empty besides for us.

So guys, are there times when you see the girl that you like and purposely NOT glance at her/use your peripheral vision?
