He is a jack of all trades, a man of many talents, if he's not good at something he'll be a pro within a week.

You ever meet one of those people that just seems to bring disaster everywhere?

Me.

I trip over my own feet, choke on my own spit, I'm that person that kills jokes intending to add on to it, I work *very* hard and I'm never the best at anything. Things just seem like if it can go wrong, it will.

This obviously creates a lot of conflict. From my perspective, I've always been like that. If I could just change it overnight, don't you think I would have a long time ago? Where do I even start? Maybe if I just told my throat to stop putting my spit down the wrong tube my problems would lessen... right?

Like it's that simple.

In fact, he thinks it's all in my mind. That I want to be clumsy. But he's 'not trying to change who I am', and at the same time is 'just trying to make you feel better about yourself'.

News flash: I am not him. I am not good at everything I try for and I work very hard to even maintain a normal life. I really have come a long way... but he makes me feel like it's not good enough.

What's worse, is he makes it sound so simple. Like I can just wake up one morning and be completely aware of my surroundings in addition to being a pro girlfriend.

How can I make him see that's it's not like that... it's not easy? It's not fair to be put under that kind of judgement... I try. I really really really try...

Do you think I'm wrong? Can it be fixed and I just haven't found the solution in 24 years?

My boyfriend of seven months has always called me sweetheart, hon, babe, etc. but in the last month or so, he adds my actual name in there once in a while when talking to me.

I don't particularly like my name (It's Cayla, I like how it's spelled, but I don't like how it sounds), and he has been using it once every few conversations.

We are really close, and in my opinion we are in a perfect relationship, no fights, we both think the same way, he takes care of me, sex life is good, etc.

A part of me feels like because he is using my name, he is secretly getting distant from me, or he is slowly starting to slide out of our relationship, and this is the beginnings of what I can tell,

and another part of me feel like maybe he is saying it more because he feels or thinks it's more personal and romantic, that it shows he cares for me specifically or something like that.

I've had a relationship before where the guy got distant and stopped calling me sweetheart and all that, and more of my name instead, and shortly after he broke my heart suddenly. so I'm kinda paranoid or fearful that this could be happening again.
