Its something like this, about my parents, my mom is ridiculously beautiful, she looks a bit like salma hayek and has aged even better and is decently tall too (5'6), my dad is alright looking but i can safely say compared to mom he is genetic trash. I look A LOT like my dad and very little like my mom. Now the thing is i have been on 2-3 dates but I always compare her to my mom and i end up cringing because of it. Its just psychological, as a 5/10 guy with a 5'9-5'10 height, i probably would have to go for an ugly girl coz its 2016 and women are way more critical of looks than men tbh. But i just cannot be comfortable with a girl who is less attractive and shorter than my mom. I mean it just makes me feel weird inside. So i have 2 options,
a. Give up on girls whatsoever
b. Get plastic surgeries, jacked, rich etc and date someone hot (i would probably still give very good genes even if plastic, my dad does have greenish eyes like a lot of my cousins and every guy in our family is well framed, so it probably still wouldn't be cheating)

I went on a date with this girl, I really liked her but she got back with her ex and i didn't fight for her, or even tell her I really liked her. We've stayed friends and we get on extremely well, talk often and have a lot of fun together. However her boyfriend isn't that happy with us being friends, but has said he'll try to accept it. She suggested we maybe talk slightly less, so he won't feel so jealous. I made the mistake of telling her I still liked her after she asked me if we were platonic, but she said she was happy with her boyfriend and was really sorry. I told her I was sorry for saying anything (I really was, I felt so guilty for putting her in that position) and would understand if she didn't want to/couldn't be friends anymore, she said she didn't want to lose me as a friend, and we talked normally for ages and got back to somewhat normal ground. My problem is I don't know how to get over her, I only have a couple of friends at uni and she's the only person I really talk to so I would hate to lose her, but I fear that maybe she's trying to distance herself and doesn't really want to be friends anymore. My second problem is that she's the person I want to go to to talk this through with, but obviously I can't and I don't know what to do. I don't want to mess up her relationship with her boyfriend and obviously won't do anything that may hurt their relationship, so I felt like maybe we should stop talking to help their relationship. What should I do, should I stop talking for a while and hope my feeling dissipate, or should I continue to talk, just not very often, or should I just talk to her about it and see what she says? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

-Both in HS, similar ages.
-The day before we first started, she JUST broke up with her first serious boyfriend ever of 8 months (i DID NOT find out untill way later)
-We talk every day all day for 2 weeks straight and a couple dates, i made it official. this girl is completely open and honest about EVERYTHING. Amazing chemistry with her
-She told me she wanted to be just friends with her ex, she says they both know eachother VERY well and she doesn't want to lose that friendship

Bad:
-Week and a half later acts distant, starts to come up with weird bizarre excuses that maybe i shouldn't be be with her (she has very bad anxiety and overthinks a lot. this was not some passive aggressive way to break up with me).
-We start talking more about it and she tells me "I think I still love my ex boyfriend __"
-I try my best to talk her out of doing something stupid (leaving our relationship for that bad one) and she was listening but seemed very sad about hurting me and was still wanting to be with him. She assured me she had genuine feelings for me and i was not a rebound (and told me that many times after finding out she recently got out of a relationship). Eventually i told her to be happy and i broke up with her

Next day i wanted to talk to her in person and sorta say good byes and talk about our relationship ending.
This was her text that day before we met up:
"This is very stressful for me and i feel very on edge about all this"

When i talked to her in person and told her how i felt, she kept looking at me with puppy eyes: When i was telling her again in person how its a bad idea to leave me, all the reasons she sorta disagreed with over text she kinda just sat there and looked at me with puppy eyes and didn't disagree at all and just listened to me.
