Because I am that person, who uses no social media.

Aside from GirlsAskGuys to get some answers, YouTube to share some videos and Skype for work (no home use!) - Nope. Nothing else.
But the point is, that I cannot be found on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, Reddit and other social media platforms. I cannot even be found on YT and Skype and this website because I use various pseudonyms.

Since I am a very private person, I prefer to not be snooped on or stalked on and I like to clear my tracks as much as possible.

I asked 2 years ago my former team leader what he thinks about applicants lacking social media. His response was that it simply means, that the applicants private life is no one's business and that's fine. But then, he was a cool guy also.

The only real exception I would probably consider is for LinkedIn since it is *gasp* social media BUT it is used to connect people for the sake of business and employment opportunities. This is one of the real benefits worth signing up to in my opinion. But that I will do probably much later when I have the time.
