So, I'm not trying to be a snitch or cause drama ( which people say I am often) but this really makes me upset and angry. So my house guest ( Alex who's 20) lives here with my two siblings, me and my parents. My mom, my dad and me pay all the bills here. Alex doesn't have to pay a single thing, he doesn't need to help clean, cook or help out with anything. But he does help with cooking often. He's a high school dropout and he doesn't even have to go back to school unless he wants too. I'm angry about this because Id have to leave this house if I wanted to stop paying rent here. He has told my mother straight up how my vagina stinks up the whole fucking bathroom and how I'm disgusting. And other bullshit. I have a curfew and he doesn't. I feel like I blocked certain memories out of my head of him so I won't be too upset and too angry.

He has recently started running the shower for almost two hours straight. Sometimes he'd just leave it on 20-50 minutes before he gets in the shower. I don't know why he does this. I tried to talk to him about it but he acts like I'm trying to cause problems and start stuff. if he had to help pay rent he wouldn't let the water run for this long most likely. He says he's leaving this month but I don't think he is. He gets away with everything, he says I injured him one time but he doesn't understand that people have limits and how much they can take before they snap.

There's this belief in my religion that a woman mustn't enter a temple (to do anything - pray, etc) when she's on her period as it (the period) makes her impure and dirty. My mother supports the belief 100%, meanwhile I think that the belief is ridiculous and oppressive.
She said that, "Would anyone like it if a dirty person who wore dirty clothes came in the temple? It's the same for a woman on her period. Blood is coming out from her vagina, which can spoil, ruin the floor, so the rule was made that a menstruating woman must be prohibited from entering the temple."
There's also a belief that a woman mustn't touch, you know, grains and other things. She had to get help in taking some wheat out of the box from me just because she was on her period, for the same reason - period makes women impure and dirty.
I had asked, "Our blood doesn't pour in the grains, does it?"
"But our shadow does."
So, even the shadow of menstruating women is bad!!! ?


If I am correct, how can I convince her?
