since its a new year
i decided to do a very long project : its kind of like a journal entry but for every date/time/memory me and my boyfrd create. eg : if we went on a hike tgt, i would print out pics of that day and write a short 'journal entry' of what happened that day and a like a 1-2 sentence of my feeling about that day.
and it goes on for a whole year.
writing and sticking pictures on every entry.
i think maybe it would be a good Christmas gift for anniversary gift

good idea or not?

My boyfriend & I've been together for a little over 3 years & throughout these years we've had our share of rough patches & messy fights. He's lied to me several times & sometimes the lies were so insignificant & unnecessary it baffles me on why he even lied (e. g. I asked him to walk the dog. when I got home I asked if he had & he looks me in the eyes says yes, I even asked him "are you sure you?" & he stuck to his lie even though I knew he was lying because there was no collar on the dog & when I confronted him he finally admitted he lied).
A month ago we had an extremely ugly fight to the point that he packed some of his clothes & stayed at a friend's (we live together). After 2 days with the help of a friend who mediated we talked without fighting & agreed we have so much at stake & it is worth trying to work things out, maybe try couples counseling. Things started to get a bit better & a 2 weeks after on our anniversary he gave me a promise ring. That made us both try to work things out no matter what & he made a promise to me that he won't lie anymore, 100% honesty without white lies our half-truths.
Still, the skeletons in his closet keep popping out & he lied again. I've never lied or been disloyal even though he slept with a girl last year when we were on a break & downloaded 3 dating apps the two nights he stayed at his friend's after our fight. I've taken him back after everything he has done & put me through & hurt me because I just don't want it to end. Im so emotionally deep in this that I can't tell anymore whether its love or I've gotten used to him or its convenient having him be there always or if its that I rather stick through in hopes of making it work, out of dreading to go back to being on my own and having to start dating all over again from square one.
Also ending it would be so messy & painfully heartbreaking as we have so much history, mutual friends, lease contract, a dog, etc.

Have I made a mistake for staying? Why can't I want to leave still?

3 weeks ago, me and my boyfriend broke up because of my trust issues and how I kept accusing him of wanting other girls
But he has never cheated on me and we have been together for over 1 year
He was the one that broke it off abruptly coz he got fed up with me over it
He blocked me on everything so we had no contact for 2 weeks straight
Then 1 week ago, he called me up and said he wants to talk to me so he drove to my place
We sat in the car and talked about the break up and our relationship
He told me he wants to be together but I need to trust him more.. bla bla
So anyway, then I asked him if he thought of me during the break up and this is our conversation:
Me - did u think about me after u broke up with me?
Him - no. I was mad at u. I didn't give a fuck about any girls. I was focusing on myself. Just going to work and gym
Me - so during those 2 weeks u never thought of me? Or sad about it?
Him - nope
Me - are u srs?
Him - I was angry. And you're not my first girlfriend. I've had few break ups before. I get used to it
Me - but im your longest relationship
Him - yeah but i was so fed up with you. And then i went on Tinder and then I saw you. You full went on Tinder on the first week after we broke up
Me - so what? You went on it
Him - yeah but I went on it on 2nd week. I didn't think of anyone in the 1st week. When i saw u on it, i got annoyed and made me want to talk to a lot of girls.
Me - ah well. We were both single. So since u never thought of me during the break up, what made u call me then?
Him - crazy story but i was going through my cupboard where i chucked our anniversary photo frame. I wanted to find something and then the frame nearly dropped. I saw it and then all the memories came back to me. I started missing u and thought to myself "i really miss this girl" and then i just called u
Me - ok.. thats weird
Do you guys think he never thought of me during the break up? Or is he trying to act tough about it?
And is that story believable?
