One of my biggest fears as a man, is that I could get a woman pregnant, and the woman might just not tell me about it. It isn't like I sleep around or anything, so it isn't like it is going to happen to me, but as a guy it is frightening to think that a woman could basically kidnap my child, without my knowing about it. Just because someone doesn't notice you stole something from them, doesn't mean it isn't a crime. If I steal something, and no one knows about it for years, until I tell them I would still get into trouble.

Then 12 years later she could come back and sue me for child support. I don't have a problem paying child support, but if the child is my legal responsibility, then I should have a legal right, to be a father to my child, throughout his or her entire childhood.

It seems to me that either men need to be given the right to be a father, or a woman, should never be able to come back later and demand child support after years of not telling him. That is just adding insult to injury.

A woman can even put the child up for adoption, without giving the father a chance to raise his own child. If a man would be a bad father or not, should be up to the courts to decide. So don't try using that as an excuse for not telling him.
