I'm 22 and one thing I always think about is how my furture boyfriend will react to me being scared of the dark. I've always been scared of the dark. I generally need a light on (TV or lamp is fine) when sleeping and I have to wear my glasses also. If I don't do one of those things I will get extremely anxious and I won't be able to sleep until it's fixed. I don't think it should be a big issue but whenever I visit my friend he doesn't understand. He turns off all the lights (when he leaves the room to go sleep I turn something on) and whenever I bring it up he tells me to "Deal with it" because it costs too much money leaving a light on overnight. I'm just wondering what my boyfriend would say whenever I get a boyfriend. I have thought about slowly conditioning myself to sleep in the dark but the thought even causes me anxiety.
