For those who don't know, going Dutch is the practice of a couple splitting the bill when dating.

Personally I see this as not being a Chesapeake as many would likely see it, but more a test of integrity.

By going Dutch without prompting it shows that you genuinely believe in equality between the sexes.

On the other hand it's not uncommon to have a relationship where the woman makes more then the man, so if you are making more money then the male... and STILL expect him to completely foot the bill, then it kinda tells me you want superiority rather then equality.

Besides look at it this way, footing the entirety of the bill is basically the man paying for your time, for the privilege of being in your presence... and in a certain way... how is that any different from prostitution?

I’d say well if you don’t know the person and since it is a first date why not split it? Also here’s a video and I disagree with Steve 100% , like if I don’t know you why should I pay for you, and invest money and time into something that may not work out?
But it’s different if your dating then I don’t mind paying for everything or most stuff. But I just think the first date should be split.
