Based on my experience debating politics, I've concluded that somebody that uses this term doesn't have much depth to their arguments besides slogans and buzzwords they regurgitate from blogs and entertainment networks. I tend to ignore these people or only tentatively acknowledge them. You point out how Obama blocked financial regulation in favor of banks, they call him a Marxist. You point out how "Obamacare" is the same as the pro-monopoly corporate plan of the Republicans 15 years ago, they call him a Marxist again.

You point out how Obama is going along with tax cuts for the rich while earned entitlements for everyone else are set to get cut, they call him a Marxist again. You point out dozens of major policy issues in which Obama was to the right of Reagan, they call him a Marxist Maoist Socialist Stalinist Fascist for good measure, every single time.

Do you tune these people out?
