I remember this one time, when I was around 10 and still with a "thick" accent, I was asked if I would ever straighten my hair (at the time, I had really big and curly hair) by one of my classmates.
I was the only "black" kid in my school at the time so I was either gawked at, make fun of, isolated, or touched and I didn't like it but whatever.
I was asked that question a lot by the white, black, and middle eastern people of my family; so I was used to people touching my hair after asking me or plainly just asking me.
The only reason I am telling you this is because I was on the bus a hours ago and a woman (I don't have long hair anymore, but I am growing out again) asked me that question.
I looked at her and asked why, she said, "it would so pretty if it was straighten. You'll have length to your hair." Unlike the kids at school who were just being kids and asking, basically, "why does this chick look different from us," I was genuinely insulted by this woman. So, I said, "my hair looks fine, thank you. My hair is naturally kinky-coily and it looks is just fine." Her... friend (?) chimed in and said, "we aren't trying to say anything, but you'd look much better with shoulder length hair," to which, I replied, "and you'd look much better not talking to me, its 7 in the morning and nobody wants to be on this bus. Let's not make it harder."
The lady mumble something to her friend and left me alone. I feel bad now, they were only trying to help.
Was wrong for snapping at her?

I need good hairstyles for my brothers wedding
My hair is thick and long (up to mid back length)
I always put my hair down coz I look better than putting my whole hair up
Maybe coz I have a round face
So anyway, I was thinking of a "half down half up" hairstyle
Which option is better? or any other recommendations that would match me? (round face, long and thick hair, tanned skin) and Im Asian by the way
