I'm in college, and there's someone in one of my smaller classes who just... Aargh! I barely know her and have hardly spoken to her. Maybe it's just thirst, maybe I'm overthinking it, or maybe the feelings are grounded in possible compatibility, but once I learned we share some of the same hobbies, infatuation began to build until now every little movement she makes, every facial expression when she speaks up in class, is just this deadly cocktail of cute, cool and maybe a little sexy!

I know it may be "natural" to feel like this, but is it healthy? She's pretty freakin' smart, and I feel like I should focus more on that, on her as a fellow human and intellectual than as a potential girlfriend. Plus, I know these hormone-driven feelings blind people from who someone truly is, and I may be setting myself up for disappointment. Ideally, I'd like to turn my feelings down just enough for her to be a cute cool friend at first rather than a fierce infatuation. Ladies, what do you think? Is this odd/creepy? Should I just ask her out? Accept these feelings as natural? Get therapy/electroshock treatment?

I DON'T think about her ALL the time. Just maybe every couple hours. Still, I've only seen her 3 times.

Sadly infatuation is rarely reciprocated. Or is it?
