I love being single, love my freedom but I get lonely more often than I can count on two hands. And everyone around me are in love (friends and family). I am happy for them but I often look at my hopeless situation.

8. I haven’t had the best experience with men. I have been sexually harassed/raped, my dad cheats on my mom all the time since I was a little girl, my first boyfriend left me for someone else, was in a abusing situation and my friends with benefits hurt my feelings.

I am ready to shake it all off and start trusting again. I have been single for four years. I can’t keep up with this sad love life. I have used my free time on myself and I have found my passion (self discovery). I am not ready to fully commitment yet even if I miss the intimacy the most (I am still young, and enjoying life), but I am done being mad at men. They deserve better and so does my soul.

Zuri is 15 years old. She's a freshman in high school and is popular, well liked and always goes out to parties/ wears dresses and has a great boyfriend. She has a 17 year old brother named Nelson who's 17. Nelson barely has friends, often gets bullied, his best friend from elementary school recently died. Zuri often called her brother weak, stupid, pathetic, complains that he has ugly hair and wished she had a better looking brother and that it's his fault he is being bullied. She'd also tell her friends personal embarrassing things about Nelson and made him cry. Zuri was embarrassed of her bro and in public pretended they weren't related.

One afternoon Zuri told Nelson that he was pathetic, stupid, she wishes they were never siblings and she didn't care what he did. 50 minutes later The house got quiet. It bothered Zuri a lot. She called out to her brother but no one answered. She just heard weeping and the water running. She called again and asked him what he wanted to eat. Water poured from under the door, Zuri managed to unlock the door. To see Nelson with slit wrists, he took 70 sleeping pills and was shaking uncontrollably and vomiting blood. Zuri screamed in horror and called the police. She did CPR on her brother and forced him to vomit out all the pills and wrapped a towel over his bleeding wrists. Zuri had no idea that her brother felt so horrible that he'd try to kill himself, it really disturbed her and it made her extremely sad how someone like her brother could want to die. She saw her brother everyday in the hospital, hugged him, told him she loved him, and bought him books to read. When he got out the hospital she let him hang out with her friends and told him what a wonderful person he is and if he needed anything come to her. Nelson felt so loved and appreciated by his sister. He loved being hugged by her and that they'd talk about the new book he reading weekly. He smiled, laughed and opened up to her.
