Okay so long story short I have been with my partner for a year now, when i met him i thought oh wow an older guy is interested in me and yes i was wooed by his charm and the way he'd talk and how lay'd back he was. However ideally i was bit pissed knowing that when i asked if he had a job or drive etc; he slyly worked his way around it claiming he isn't atm as he has savings therefore i assumed he had inherited money of some kind. Nope I found out he lived with his mum and was mooching off of her for a very long time... she became bed ridden 2 years prior to me meeting him but had pension coming in each month that coverd for him and her but not enough that id stay at home and do fuck all. I've been working and studying since i was 14 and he doesn't even have GSCE's or any college degree because droped out. Soon after we got together he opened up and said he was involved in drug rounds and knew the right people at the right time and earned money that way :-/ at this point it was already 4 months down the line and i was practically living with him (stupid mistake). He told me he was practically groomed by a supposed essex matey who was twice his age and got him involved in shit that he regrets and has shaped what he is now; me being caring and had fallen in love with him already i took his word but it was not only till his mum passed 8 months down the line he had to get his life in gear, only then he changed his ways as he couldnt mooch off his mum and she didn't even have anthing finacially he could inherit (p. s she didn't write a will) eventually got himself a cleaning job that gives him 800 pounds or so a month... I was proud of him but it had to take that long for him to do this? He then not long after sold his car for £4,000 and now doesn't drive which is fine i suppose but left me having to drive him places. Suddenly his nature changed and i dont think he's the person I fell in love with he has become verbally abusive and pretty much replacing me with his mum.

So there's this guy, and we were dating for a couple of months but kind of decided it wasn’t really going anywhere romantically (tbh he wasn’t really ready for the bf/gf thing cuz he had just gotten out of a relationship when we got together) plus he didn’t really treat me the way you would a girlfriend respect wise. We were basically just really good friends throughout this “relationship” because he was never really affectionate and we didn’t go out much. But We enjoy each others company, we play video games, watch movies, eat good food etc. and yes we have sex.
When we broke up I wasn’t really heart broken because I expected it to happen. And he said we can still hang out and stuff and even have sex. The sex part was what through me off because I've never done a friends with benefits and kind of always viewed sex as a sacred thing you do with someone you love (which i already broke because i dont love him in that way)
I guess I was just trying to force something that wasn’t there and dont want to be viewed as “trashy” but I also like the idea of being friends because i just wanna focus on school and not date seriously till I graduate. So what should I do? Explain why.
