If someone says ' it was important to the to get to know you. because they know people who met randomly then got married , and they dont like to waste opportunties'.

Does that mean they are critiquing you for marriage material? Im not asking if he wants to marry me. That'd be absurd. Im just asking from what he's saying which feels stressful--is he going to be assessing me from some kind of abstract standard that shouldn't actually aply to us atm.

Because i find this awkward and stressful. We have known each other a year-but barely- we just started dating, i dont think he should even have that as a reason at this point, and im not onterestyed in being vetted. i like him, and id like to get to know him better, but this makes me uncomfortable.

He either meant i make him think of marriage bc its how he thinks, or he thought id like to ear it bc i think that way. both scenerios make me uncomfortable. I dont even know if i want to get to know him under tihs weiord kind of vague pressure. I've never even dated let alone be in a relationship let alone even remotely consuder thinking of marriage in the slighrtst sense. So im just not comfortable , even if he meant it as a euphemism for he's glad were going to get to know each other. bc he could just say that if thats what he meant. just dont feel like being judged unnecessaerily. And if he's alrerady got something in mind, ill be held up against that. I just wanted to ake things one minute- maybe an hour- at a time.

I've know this guy for almost 10 years and i've liked him for about 3 of those 10 years,

This Easter weekend (Thursday to Monday) i had one of my friend come over and stay the weekend, since there was hell at his house (don't ask and i won't tell) anyway he stayed over, on Thursday evening when we went to pick him up i put my arm on the back of the back seat as to rest my arm, from there he asked me for a hug, which i agreed to, then when we got to my place he asked for a proper hug so i said just now i need the bathroom and he said "aw come on, i haven't seen you in however long and i can't get a proper hug" so i then said come with me to your bedroom so i can show you your room, then he said not until you hug me, he hugged me extremely tight that i couldn't breathe, then he we went to bed at 1:30 in the morning cause we were catching up and he was explaining the situation of what was happening at home, then the next day i was busy making my breakfast and he wanted coffee so i made it for him, then he complained that he was hungry and he was asking for things such as pancakes, waffles, etc which i didn't have due to needing to be paid my salary, then i suggested cereal and he said no, so i offered him egg on toast (which in the end i botched it up)
he said it was delicious and "f*ck man, you're a woman who can cook and i need to marry someone who can cook" i thought nothing of it since i have a boyfriend, then later that night he walks up to me and says "will you marry me?" in front of my whole family so i said i'll think about it since it was a joke... so then he said that he had already planned a huge wedding for us, then I said I’m sorry but I can’t get married to you then he asked why and since my mom is one who doesn’t like speaking of marriage I told him because my mom said I mustn’t get married because my mom won’t allow me to (I am going to get married at the right time)

I'm pretty. I have blonde hair that's been cut to a pixie cut, I have blue eyes, pale skin, and no pimples. I'm thin. I'm 5'4".

I've been friends with this guy for nearly a year and had a crush on him for most of it. He once said he would marry me (My last name is really cool). He is cute, but not gorgeous. I still like him.

He gave me his phone #, but can't text. He also says his phone is buggy, and sometimes he doesn't get calls. I don't know if it's true, or if he doesn't want to talk to me.

A few weeks ago he asked me if I thought he liked me. Apparently some girls liked him and said, to his face, "You'll never go out with me though. Gwen thinks you like her, and I think so too." I actually thought he didn't like me, and I was planning on attempting to get over him. But then, why did he tell me?

The "Sadie Hawkin's Dance" is coming up (stupid I know) and I was going to ask him to see if he liked me. But he's going with someone else. He says she's a friend, and thought nobody else would ask him. (I got this info my casually asking if he was going)

So anyway, have I been friendzoned?
