I recently stumbled upon this Daily Beast Article. I've been to a few nude dinner parties, almost all with other couples from my friend group. Aside from a few jokes about our nude state, the conversation was pretty typical of a dinner party, except more open. I think being naked
let everyone let their guards down, and conversation flowed freely. Would you go to one?

I've worked with a girl that I'm attracted to for the last two years.

Every day we work directly with eachother as she is still learning the job, and I'm helping her to progress.

There has been nothing but professional or friendly interaction between her and I for the entire two years we've worked together.
She was single and I was in a relationship.

About 6 months ago, I also became single. About two months ago, I offered to take her out for dinner and drinks for her birthday, she said yes.

We planned to go out but she actually got sick that weekend and had to cancel the plans.

The following Friday she left a treat on my desk (big bag of chocolate covered pretzels), almost like a little sign to try again (not sure, maybe?). But I didn't want to come on too strongly because I do not want the work situation to ever become awkward. So I never asked her to reschedule the dinner/drinks plan... until about a month ago.

I got the courage to ask her if she wanted to go out again, which again, she said yes.

This time we even sent a few snap chats back and fourth, while none of them were inappropriate, I got the feeling that she kinda "likes" me, (maybe?)

At this point I'm not sure if this dinner and drinks is just a friends thing in her mind, or if she has a feeling that I might actually want to date her.

So the weekend comes, she cancels again. This time it's a family issue that came up, beyond her control.

So, now it's a month later and I never tried to reschedule, for fear of being to aggressive...

But today, now I heard that she just met somebody, and is potentially dating him...

Did I blow my chance? Was I too passive?

This girl is like perfect, she's like everything I want, and we are an awesome team when working on any project together...

I feel sick thinking that I was too professional and never let my guard down enough for her to see I was interested, and now I'm gonna have to watch her walk away without ever knowing what could have been...

Now that enough time has passed that I think people will not have their opinions governed by emotion do you think she was actually robbed? I just find it weird how it went down and how the security guard just happened to be gone when it went down. And that some of her more expensive jewelry just found it's way onto being right outside. I don't think robbers would accidentally drop it and not pick it up or that a pedestrian would see it and grab it. They only found it the next day after. Hundreds of pedestrians would have seen it there. Or the fact that she called off the investigation shortly into the police actually started investigating.

I just don't think most humans have so much publicity happen around them so much to this extent. Publicity is her entire business so it just makes sense to me that she faked the whole thing to get her name on the front page of newspapers again. I don't fault her. She's a businesswoman and she definitely knows how to keep herself relevant in pop culture.
