A co worker of mine told another to not say the word 'black' as a description, but to use 'african american' instead (btw im not African American lmao). but i dont think black is offensive as a descriptive word, no different to white, brown, olive, tan skin or blue eyes, or red hair. its a phenotype but no one asked me what i thought, they just spoke "for me" but i dont agree with them. have u been in that position before? it was weird.
