Search Results: does my gay friend like me

I've been talking (he wants me to give him a chance) to this somewhat handsome Lebanese guy. He's seems like a really nice guy at least to me. He comes off as nice etc. But I can't help but notice these minor disturbing flaws...
1. He is obsessed with body building. Always at the "gym".
2. During class when were working in groups he is very rude to other girls (gives them an attitude and responds rudely to them) BUT gets along PERFECTLY with guys (laughs and jokes).
3. Every time I see him waiting in the hallway for our class to start he's always surrounded talking to other men never with a girl (at least just as friends).
... I can't help but say to myself this behavior just isn't right. I've even come to think he might be gay. Or can these be signs of an abuser? Is he normal and I'm exaggerating?

We've known each other since we were 12, and we're 17 now. Been best friends all the while. For a while, he said he was bi, and now, he leans towards gay, though I'm not entirely sure what his "official" orientation is updated to. I kinda think bi at best. Not to stereotype, but he doesn't seem gay. Of course that doesn't mean he isn't. But I have noticed, all the boyfriends he's had were conveniently "from a different town", and his crushes were all popular and straight. They wouldn't have happened. Those who don't know he's gay, and some who do, have wrongly thought we're going out. Even my crush (grrrr). We're just really good friends, but I have noticed him getting more friendly lately. Touches me more (usually in a jokingly fun way), hangs out with me more, and jumps to my side when I need help even at a huge inconvenience to himself. And it has been increasing recently. Although, one of his other best female friends moved over the summer, so maybe I'm filling the void, and that's all it is. He also relentlessly teases me about my crush alone and in front of him. It's extremely intentional, but he's also just that way, so how can I know what the real motive is? He did this last year before our friend moved, too, so that's nothing new. What do you think? I don't like him as anything more than a good friend, but am I reasonable to doubt the same for him?
