What I mean is, dating in America is a whole different culture than it is say, compared to the UK (where I'm from). If you simply search "Why isn't he texting me back?" or "how should a guy date?" you're found with a plethora of articles written by dating experts, and the majority are American and I think this sets the tone of the dating scene as a whole.

I'm not saying any of those articles or the advice in them are necessarily bad or misleading, it's just most aren't universal. A prime example is the encouragement of dating lots of people simultaneously.

In my experience, any decent man wouldn't necessarily have the time or energy to see two or three women over a long period of time. Going on lots of first dates however is different and is the initial stage of entering the dating scene, because most likely, out of those first dates you will find a woman or man you feel a connection with. Stringing two or three guys/girls along over a period of weeks or months isn't cool, even if you're open about it.

Let me tell you what a typical British date usually entails: the pub. No fancy dinners for a first date, thanks!

So yeah, this just got me thinking. I may even do another poll asking who would you rather date: an American guy/girl or a British guy/girl! :)
