There's a guy I'm cool with. He's been homeschooling the first 2 years of HS, but now he's going to public HS this year. When he's gone out to chill though, he hits on a lot of cute girl's and acts like a player. I've warned him not to do that in HS, cuz cute girl's there are great at slapping guys. I just graduated from college and moved back home for my gap year (I'm currently applying to med school). However, I'm still trying to maintain somewhat of a normal life while going through this grueling process. There's a girl I've known since elementary school who I'm kind of into. She's probably the hottest girl I've ever met lol. We've always been friendly with each other, but I never made a move because I was a lot less self-confident in my teen years.

Anyway, a few weeks ago, I was working in a psychiatrist's office for some more clinical experience, and like most people my age, I tweeted about it. She liked the tweet, but I didn't think much about it. Then, she randomly dm'd me asking me how it was working for a psychiatrist/psychologist and said "Sorry if I sound like an idiot" (I guess she wasn't sure if there was a difference?). We usually never actually message each other so I was shocked. I told her it was cool and then she replied that she finds psychiatry interesting along with the winking emoji with the tongue stuck out. At that point I started to think she was interested in me.

A few days later one of my friends told me that he found out that this girl recently broke up with her boyfriend and that she was planning on travelling to Europe. I'm sure the breakup must've sucked for her, but not gonna lie, this excited me. I started messaging her more, but I noticed that she would reply almost a day after. My birthday was last week and she didn't message me. However, she messaged me a day later saying that she was really really sorry for forgetting and that she wanted us to celebrate when she gets back from Europe.
I usually have bad luck with girls, which is why I'm kind of neurotic about this. Do you think she likes me? Or is she just being friendly? Should I go after her even though she just broke up with her boyfriend? Any advice would be appreciated.

I am a multi racial black man but most people see me as black. I grew up in a suburban all white family. Went to college and got a masters degree. While I have dated Latina, Indians, and Blacks, I have mostly dated Whites.

My black female coworkers pressure me to stay with a black girl I dont like. Many black women get angry and dont talk to me if I date a white girl. The disrespect from Black people regarding who I date is so bad that I prefer to date White girls simply because Whites show less care about skin color. Do you have similar experience?

So I've about had it with my clingy girlfriend. She acts like a child when I say I'm busy and she listens to her shitty ass friends when they clearly don't want us together. Now she's starting showing her ass at work because she's, "so mad" and I'm over it

For example, I spend my time with my guy friends at work because I'm a man and I need to hang around other men, it's healthy and it helps me. I'll ve standing there talking and she'll come up out of nowhere and butt into the conversation and say something gross or inappropriate (she came apologizing for farting last week 😷). Today was the final straw! I found out about a job opening at our facility, it was for something kinda related to management and I figured it would be great work experience for me since I'm a film major and I want to start working the movie sets again after graduation.
Here she comes talking about how she knows she's gonna get it and watching me try to fill out the application 😐

I'm tired of it. She texts me every morning, evening, and night, then she makes smart comments about me not talking to her 😑. First of all I am genuinely a busy man. I'm trying to pay for my first car, I'm trying to pass college (I already failed a prerequisite math class) and I'm trying to save money and survive everyday. The last thing on my mind is bullshitting around with her 😐. I have never met a girl that does this shit, hell most girls are busy themselves!

Ok but enough ranting, what do you all think? Am I wrong for not giving her constant attention?(even more so since she's been acting like a shit apple) and do you have any advice on how to ease out of the relationship since my mom thinks I'm wrong for "breaking her heart" 😑

So lately I've been finding that many people at my job look up to me in a weird way. People originally knew me as, "that polite boy that works 2 jobs", now I'm, "that polite boy who's in college" 😑.

So now all of a sudden the people my age are sorta looking up to me like I'm a dad or something because I'm always saying, "you can do it" or encouraging them to study hard and not give up. Just the other day I was working and out of nowhere this guy I was talking to ran up to me saying he was looking for me to tell me he passed his exam 😐

It's so weird because they look up to me and want my motivation yet my life dangles in the winds of shit all day and night 😑. I'm 20, I live at home, and I'm not even that smart. I passed my first semester with three Cs and one B. Tjis1 semester I failed one class, passed one with a C, and I'm on the verge of failing a second if I can't pass out next test 😐.

So have any of you ever experienced something like this?
