I'm kind of wanting to change my look a bit. Since I'm not messing with my hair right now, I'm gonna go for a body mod. I'm going to get a new tattoo or piercing. I'll only be doing this over winter break, after I have money and have time to devote to aftercare.

I don't know exactly what tattoo I plan on getting but I have a few ideas. For a piercing, in addition to my ears which I will get done too, I like the idea of my lower lip or snakebites.

Thoughts?

I'm getting a dermal piercing on my chest next week and I'm really nervous! Kind of like this but a little further down link

Does anyone on here have it done? do you like it or regret it? Where is it located? How bad did it hurt?

And guys, do you like them or do they creep you out?

(I love the way they look so I'm getting it done either way, I'm just curious)

Basically, does your physical appearance reflect your personality and behavior ? Whether or not we admit it, when we look at someone we make assumptions. Conservatively dressed people are perceived differently to those who have a gothic or grunge-like style. Preppy styled women are perceived different to those with a more bohemian/indie type of style.

If someone looked at you for the first time, would their first impression reflect your taste in music, your hobbies and your general behavior ?

For me, it's most likely not. The difficulty comes in the fact that different people usually see different sides of me. Very, very few people get a feel of every facet. So when I'm dressed in a professional manner people are shocked to see that I have tattoos and piercings. When I'm wearing combat boots and ripped jeans people don't believe that I'm a law student. You know what I mean? I also have strange hobbies and mannerisms.

So for me, what you see is NOT what you get in terms of my appearance.
