I think my crush likes me, or at least he used too, but he's been acting different?

BEFORE: He sat by me in class but he would avoid talking to me but talked to the people around me. However, he would sit across the classroom with a few of his friends occasionally, and while sitting there, I would catch him staring at me, then he'd look away as fast as he could. I once caught him whisper to his friend and they both stared at me. This was until our class went to the computer lab, and as we were about to find our seats, I looked up and he was staring directly at me. I stared back for 4-5ish seconds but I was the first one to break eye contact. We didn't sit together though.

MIDDLE: When I walked into the cafeteria with a few of my friends, I saw him and his friend staring at me while whispering. Which means they saw me sitting really close to one of my guy friends. The next day in class when we were playing games, he would do silly stuff then he'd look back at me to see if I was watching him. He also traded seats with one of his friends to sit by me at a pep rally.

NOW: For the last week or so, he's been completely ignoring me.

A lot of people, online and my friends, have said that he used to like you/is getting better at hiding his feeling for you. I'm thinking about writing him a note saying that I like him and giving him my number on the 26th. I've been thinking of doing it for a while now too. Is it a good idea, or a terrible one? Should I do it or not?

I've recently been quite a few situations when I've encountered people getting really excited and having fun over some news that just isn't true.

Such as posts about the super moon only occurring one every 68 years... (They can during any moon phase, including a new moon, and we have at least 3 every year even if we can't actually see them)

Or, when I'm giving my ghost tours I get so many photos shoved at me by relatives seeking some kind of confirmation that mommy is still watching over them. They're almost all clearly just reflections, but not this one! "I just KNOW its her, otherwise I'd say it was a reflection too!" (Yes, I believe in ghosts, but I also believe in science, and we will never get anywhere in the paranormal field if we placate every single sad offspring!)

These are just a few personal examples. As a whole, when should we just smile and nod, and when should we correct people?

When did we all fall asleep? Why are people so desperate to believe lies these days? (Jet fuel doesn't melt steel!!) Do you feel that there is any harm is allowing people to be blissfully ignorant, or do we have a responsibility to try and teach those around us to open their eyes?

I won't sit around endlessly arguing with a moron or a troll, but I will make my comments if I see blatant lies or utter falsehoods being peddled and believed as facts (women don't pee from their vaginas!), especially if it is something that is actually important, or can be backed and confirmed with science. From there, it's on them to be a sheep, or to use those opposable thumbs and reasoning skills with the help of Google. (or maybe an actual encyclopedia? they still make those!)

For example, whenever we're allowed to move seats for the day, he always sits with his friends at my table. He was also sitting behind me at a pep rally and swapped seats with his friend to sit by me.

Okay, I have a crush on this boy, but unfortunately, I only have 1 class with him. I think he may like but I'm getting mixed signals and I don't know what to do. Here's what I do know...

1. He's only ever asked out 1 girl before, and got rejected so it's likely he's cautious around a girl he likes, right? I also look pretty similar to this girl, we both have dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. This also happened almost a year ago.
2.. When I used sit by him in class, he ignored me and talked to everyone else but me. However, he still tried to project his personality. If he makes a joke, he'll sometimes look over to me to see if I'm laughing. He's an outgoing guy so it doesn't make sense that he'd be shy around me.
3. I've caught him staring at me multiple times. Yet, every time I notice, he turns his head away really fast.
4. I was sitting with a few of my friends, and in the corner of my eye, I caught him whisper to his friend and they both stare directly at me.
5. Our class went to the computer lab, and as we were about to find our seats, I looked up and he was staring directly at me. I stared back for 4-5ish seconds but I was the first one to break eye contact. We weren't sitting together but he did sit right in front of me.
6. When I was walking into the cafeteria with a few of my friends, him and one of his friends were staring at me as I was getting to my seat, and they saw that I was sitting really close to one of my guy friends. We don't sit at the same table.
7. The next day, we were playing a game in class, and he kept running around and acting silly. Every time he would do that, he would look directly at me to see if I was watching him?
8. He's been trying to get closer to me. For example, whenever we're allowed to move seats for the day, he always sits with his friends at my table. He also traded seats with one of his friends to sit by me at a pep rally for my school.
