So I’m 25 and never really dated. I was chubby growing up and never asked out like other girls. I’ve lost a lot of weight in the past 2 years and still don’t get approached by guys.

When i was asked out later in HS, they were not by guys I’d want to date and ended up saying no. That is how it’s been: almost every guy that has asked me out I’ve rejected. I don’t feel the vibe and/or find them attractive.

What upsets me is I don’t think I’m ugly and people have told me I’m attractive, so why do I only get asked out by unattractive guys? I think it’s unfair to me because I do put in effort into my appearance. I’ve “dated” here and there for a few months but never by the guy I’d like to date because the guys I find cute don’t approach me. And no , I refuse to approach a guy first. My mother says it’s because I haven’t found the right guy and that’s true but I dunno...

I told my guy friend (who I like) that a guy I asked out called me ugly and said “who would date you, your too ugly”

My guy friend said “ should I beat him up”
”don’t take what he said to heart” “don’t believe what he said is it true because you’re amazing and you’re beautiful and you have a lot to offer to someone”

He drove me home and when we got there he parked and turned off his car and we talked for like 30-40 minutes. We had this conversation while parked.

However he's an awful texter

he gives me a ride home almost everyday.

Quite often he asks me how my day was, or if I’m happy. If a say something like it’s was okay or lead on that I’m upset he asks why.

However. Another time I was upset he drove me home and we talked in his car for 30 minutes. After I texted him thanks for talking to me. He said “ no need to thank, that’s what friends are for love ya ( my name)

one time I asked him to teach me frisbee and we tossed a frisbee around just the two of us.
Also on the 4th of July, I didn’t have plans so he invited me to go to his family’s little “party” about 40 minutes away from where we both live.

does he like me?
is he only being friendly?

I don’t think I’m ugly, I’ve recently lost weight and attempt to maintain a healthy physical appearance. I’ve been told I’m pretty during my life. People would make comments like why are you single, what’s wrong with these boys etc.

And to be frank, it bothers me. My mom was 18 when she met my dad, that was her first real relationship and they got married. I’ve always expected love to find me and it hasn’t. If I’m not ugly, why have I never been approached?

Dont even lie, I know dating is shallow so that’s the first thing a guy sees. I’ve been “asked out” and “approached” by guys I don’t find attractive. I don’t understand why it’s so hard to be approached by a guy I’d want to date. Online dating has been shit, I usually give up talking to guys after a while. I hear of women get approached all the time, they don’t even try.

I just want a happy love life like everyone else and I feel like that’s the least that I can get out of lifeYes

I am almost 25 and have no dating experience. I hear feedback either along the lines of being too picky or just having bad luck. Everyone says love finds you, so why hasn’t it found me? Don’t say that I’m still young because there are women who marry their high school sweetheart and stay together indefinitely.

I was chunky in my teens and have lost a good amount of weight, almost 80 lbs. I have maintained it for a year and do my best to look good. Yet, I’m never approached by guys. I don’t think I’m ugly and have been complimented throughout my life a few times. I feel like I’m doing wrong or men don’t find me attractive. Must I say, dating apps do not work for me.

I know a lot of men use it for sex but I hear a lot of relationships that have formed from them too. I meet women who dumb their ex boyfriends and these guys were wrapped around their fingers. I wish I had the power and control to have a man desire me that way.

When I do attract guys (rare rare occasions), it’s ugly guys. I know I’m no model or beauty queen but are decent looking men repulsed by me too? Oh, I don’t have any friends by the way.
