I was about to leave for bootcamp in like 2 days and I had been holding back my feelings for him for quite some time. I finally decided that I didn't want to leave before telling him how I truly feel. I knew there was a chance that he didn't feel the same way, but that's a risk I was willing to take. I was afraid he would disappear, because that's all I've ever known. He didn't say it back and he actually said he was glad that I told him. I was worried it would change our relationship, but it didn't. Not in the least. We're still the same as we've always been. Keep in mind, we aren't actually dating. We don't have a label in our relationship, but we both care for each other very deeply. He just says he's not ready to be in love again or be in a relationship again yet. He says he doesn't think about his feelings and things like that. That makes no sense to me. I'm big into astrology and I'm a Scorpio. Yes, I know, Scorpios are notorious for being highly emotional and it's true. We are. I get jealous when he texts his girl friends all the time and he knows this. He said it bothers him a little bit, but not much. He understands that I have a jealous nature. We became friends in April of 2014 and at first I didn't like him in a romantic way, but we started hanging out a lot as friends and kinda became inseparable and just got super close. I absolutely fell in love with his personality. He's a Leo. He's goofy, extroverted and he's a big kid at heart. Which I love, because I'm introverted and I take things too seriously. When I stay the night with him he holds me and rubs my hair until I fall asleep. Periodically he will squeeze me tighter and kiss my forehead while he holds me. These feel like things he does out of love. I FEEL like he loves me, but he just won't admit it. I could be wrong though. I said the L word a few times in my letters from bootcamp, but I never say it in person because I don't want to make him feel pressured or uncomfortable. So what do y'all think?

Please don't bash astrology if you plan on answering this--though I also believe that astrology does not dictate everything.

All other aspects put aside, based soley on a Cancer Man's sun sign alone, how can you tell the difference between him viewing you as a FRIEND vs a potential GIRLFRIEND?

What will he do differently? Is he more physical (hugging, tickling, and just touching you in general) when he sees you as a potential girlfriend vs a friend? Is he more open when he sees you as a friend vs a potential girlfriend?

I would like to add that I am an Aquarius Woman with a close knit friendship with a Cancer Man whom I am slightly curious about.

We really love each other's company, despite that I am often moody/broody due to my own reasons. Oddly enough, he understands them and wants nothing more than to see me happy and to see me laugh off the pains of life. These things, he has told me.

He confuses me, but that's because he supposedly sees in me what I fail to personally. I tend to believe I am worth no one's time--yet he tells me that I should never feel that way. In fact, he gets worked up and irritated when I tell him about my family's views on me. He tells me that they're wrong and that I am perfect the way I am. If I say "I'm ok" he can go on in a rant about how I'm more than ok and that I need to see it.

Ever since I've gotten to know him, he's helped me not only feel my emotions, but actually experience them--if that makes much sense. I can open up fully to him, and I know he'd never turn it against me.

He is also big on physical contact. Whether it's a full-bodied hug before I leave, or me sitting in his lap watching tv or friends play video games, he likes to be close to me and likes touching me--even if it's tickling or touching my arms/legs for no apparent reason.

I have been single for about a year now, and have had no interest in finding someone to 'fill the void' as one might say it. I was quite content being single.

That is... until this guy came along. Now he has me questioning whether or not I'd like to let him win me over, or just tell him that I have no interest. I won't lie, I never gave off the vibes of "I'm interested". I just tend to be friendly to everyone, so it was no different with this guy.

His interest in me couldn't have been any more obvious. How so? He came into class one day with a beautiful, fully bloomed tulip. Apparently, he had picked it from his garden. When he handed it to me, he told me that he had seen the flower earlier and that it had reminded him of me, but that my beauty was unmatched by anything he had ever seen before. I was shocked to say the least--a little confused as well, but flattered beyond words. I accepted his gift. Well, after multiple declines to go out on a date with him, he wore me down enough to agree to one. To be honest, it wasn't half bad.

He opened doors for me, pulled out (and pushed in) chairs for me, and slow danced with me. I won't lie--he is like a transplant from the Shakespearian times. He is very, VERY traditional. His good-bye to me? A kneel on the ground and a kiss on the hand.

He is also one of the smartest people I've ever met. He is fluent, and self taught, in 5 different languages. It takes him less than 2 months to learn a new language. It's crazy!
