I've told him OVER and OVER about the way he drives. He drives entirely too fast, he switches lanes crazily and he brakes way too hard. I let him use my car to drive to work and whenever he needs to run errands because he isn't able to afford his own since we're in college. My car was a high school graduation gift from my Grandma. He totaled my car this morning and I am BEYOND pissed off. A woman who was driving behind him said that he was speeding down the road and tried to switch lanes at the last moment and ran into some trees. I just broke up with him and told him off the second I saw my car and he's telling me that's a stupid reason to break up with him. It was stupid of him to drive like a maniac! I'm just angry and how I feel about him personally is just in the back of mind, because this to me just shows how inconsiderate he is.

I go to most family gatherings on my boyfriend's side. I'm nice and polite to them, but they don't really seem to like me. They'll greet me when they see me but they don't really seem to care for me actually being around. When my boyfriend used to bring over his past gfs, the parents would try to talk to them and ask where they were if they weren't around or if they could come to family gatherings. Whenever the other gfs had a graduation or something, they bought her a gift. I got them a Christmas gift and they didn't get me anything, which was fine, but I thought it was weird that they took my gift but didn't say thank you. Then when I graduated, they didn't get me anything. I don't mind that they didn't but it's the fact that they did for the other girls that makes me think they don't like me, along with the fact that parents tried to get the past gfs to be around the family but they don't do the same with me; it's usually my boyfriend who invites me and not his parents. I also went to their Christmas party and maybe it's just my family that does this (we always have gifts for everyone who comes over so we all have something to open) but his family didn't give me anything. I felt a little left out but it was fine. I also met a couple of his out of town relatives and they said I was ugly and thought I was uneducated, when I'm not. They just assumed and barely tried to get to know me. I could ignore the relatives. But when it comes to his parents, what do you think this means? It would be nice if they liked me but I don't feel welcomed around them. But maybe I'm not seeing it from the right view? What's your take on this?

We are from Cleveland, Ohio. I just turned 18 last week and did nothing for my birthday. My parents want to take me somewhere for my birthday gift/graduation gift. None of my friends can go, nobody has a job and nobodies parents will give them money and my parents don't want to pay for them. I don't have a job or drive either. We would go Friday, July 21st- Tuesday, July 25th.

We have already been to Tampa for my 16th birthday and everyone loved it. However, it's more expensive to go last minute but it's still affordable. My parents are just worried that something will happen to me at Busch gardens since I would be going by myself and it's one of the things I wanna do in Tampa aside from the beach (Parents have BACK problems). The hotels brand new and really nice and so are the beaches and the food is amazing. We would fly down to Tampa.

my dad suggested ocean city and it's about a 7-8 hour drive. The hotels are shitty. The beaches don't look very nice He said there's jolly rogers amusement parks and water parks on the boardwalk and the beach and a bunch of shit for someone my age to do there. They plan on going sightseeing and going to bars at night and possibly the beach and I would be on my own on the boardwalk. I don't know if this will be any fun but they wanna book something soon and it's up to me. Ocean city is cheaper too.

which sounds better, I guess? I do like beaches and I like amusement parks but I don't really need both, I don't know?

My daughter graduates high school next week. My husband and I wanted to take two trips this summer - one to DC over Memorial Day weekend and one in mid August to Toronto for a weekend. My daughter doesn't have a job and hasn't applied anywhere. It's expensive to stay in DC and I have to rent two rooms. My daughter wants to take a friend and neither of them have money to pitch in. I offered to pay for ONE trip and one trip only. D. C. is around $200-500 a night depending on the hotel we want to stay in and my husband and I are trying to find a cheap one that's not a dump. And Toronto is around the same price as D. C. For rooms. We would go down to DC This Friday and come back Monday. That's 3 nights. Toronto would most likely be 3 nights at well, maybe 4. I told her to pick one and if she wants to go on the other trip she needs to come up with the money for her own room whether her and her friend combine money or she herself pay for it. She thinks I'm being unfair. I'm not made of money and I'll pay for one of the trips for your graduation gift but that's it. She's also mad we all have to be in one car with each other for 9 hours if she chooses to go to DC. Toronto is about 5 hours.
