Not sure what to think but seems like it and guess I deserved it. I was a total jerk to a previous girlfriend and I was her first. When she found out somehow, she slapped me, started crying (the type of crying I've never seen before) and broke it off. Off course her family forever hates me.

4 years later (I'm now 23):
After several relationships ending in break-ups (unstable ones mainly and full of drama) and a couple of ONS, I got into a new relationship. We've been dating for about 6 months and this time, things were different with this girl. It felt like I was at peace for once. I even considered her a future wifey relationship... stupid me.

That was until I found out the reason she came very late (at 10 pm) on my b-day with my gift. The one she cheated with is one of my closest friend from HS... well now ex friend.

Let's say a girlfriend flirts with men. Is this acceptable?

I've seen my girlfriend do it, and I was like hey I don't mind you looking/attracted to other guys, but why are you flirting with them showing your interested in them? Like if I saw someone else's girlfriend flirting with me, I'd assume that the relationships is unstable and won't last long.

So, a few weeks ago, my girlfriend had mysteriously disappeared. I waited for a week, and I got a little worried. After talking with her friends, I learned she was suicidal.

Because my girlfriend lives about an hour away and because I had the flu, I decided I would request the police to perform a welfare check. After speaking with her mother, the police reported back to me and told me that my girlfriend had been admitted to a mental hospital for various reasons.

I was glad that she was at least getting help. But, a few days ago, my girlfriend told me that her mother wants us to break up because I called the police. Apparently, no one was home except for her little brother. (Keep in mind that her mother disappears for days at a time to binge drink and use illegal drugs with her own boyfriend). The police scared her little brother so badly that he called my girlfriend's mother. She had to rush home to tell the police what had happened, and she lashed out at them.

Because the police had discovered that my girlfriend's mother neglects both her and her brother, she may now have to forfeit custody of them to social services. My girlfriend has told me that she will most likely be moving in with her uncle, and will only be a few minutes away from me. However, I feel horrible because I have basically destroyed their family. Her brother isn't related to her by blood, and will most likely be put up for adoption since her uncle won't take her brother.

My girlfriend says that she doesn't see a problem with what I did, and was actually really happy that I cared enough to actually call for help. She said that other people were calling her an "attention whore" and thought she was faking. But, I don't know what to do. My girlfriend suggested that we wait until May (when she is supposed to move in with her uncle) before we continue seeing each other. She also said her mother would appreciate an apology. But, I'm not sure how to go about it, and her mother is unstable. Thoughts?
